Roxy Saint Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
They found me drunk on the floor again
Wake up missing you more
Than ever I ever did before my friend
Whatever Yeah Yeah Whatever
Whatever Yeah Yeah Whatever
And the faces here around me
This seems so deranged
And craziness we're following
Whatever Yeah Yeah Whatever
Whatever Yeah Yeah Whatever
In Roxy Saint's song "Whatever", the lyrics speak of feeling lost and alone, with a sense of confusion and chaos surrounding the singer. The line "cross out some the wars" could refer to a desire to forget about past conflicts or battles, and instead focus on the present moment. The singer confesses to being drunk and feeling the pain of missing someone they cared about deeply. The repetition of "Whatever Yeah Yeah Whatever" could be interpreted as a way to brush off the struggles and uncertainties of life and just go with the flow, accepting whatever comes their way.
The second verse continues the theme of feeling out of place and out of touch with those around the singer. The people and faces surrounding them seem foreign and even insane. Despite this, the singer seems resigned to follow the craziness and chaos, choosing to embrace it rather than fight it. The song seems to suggest a sense of hopelessness and a need to escape from reality, giving in to whatever fate has in store.
Overall, "Whatever" is a gritty and raw depiction of the struggles and confusion we often experience in life. It speaks to feelings of isolation and disconnection while also encouraging a certain sense of acceptance and surrender.
