During the late 1980s, a fourteen-year-old boy reacted with surprise to learn that I knew who Roy Orbison was and even enjoyed this singer who was enjoyed by listeners his age. He was doubly surprised when I told him that Roy Orbison had been my favorite singer since the late 1950s. At that age, kids think the world began when they were born. Roy Orbison is still my all-time favorite singer.

Back in '88 they had scheduled this song on the radio every morning ~8am in his memory. Me and my dad used to leave home 10 minutes early so we catch the song on the car radio on our way to the bakery, or sit in the car park and wait for the song to play then go. It really brings back some priceless memories for me.
