Hey There Lonely Boy
Ruby and the Romantics Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Hey there, lonely boy, lonely boy
Let me make your broken heart like new
Oh, my lonely boy, lonely boy
Don't you know this lonely girl loves you?

Every since she broke your heart
You seem so lost each time you pass my way
Oh, how I long to take your hand
And say "Don't cry, I'll kiss your tears away"

Hey there, lonely boy (lonely boy), lonely boy (lonely boy)
Let me make your broken heart like new
Oh, my lonely boy (lonely boy), lonely boy (lonely boy)
Don't you know this lonely girl loves you?

You think that only her two lips
Can kiss your lips and make your heart stand still
But once you're in my arms you'll see
No one can kiss your lips the way I will

Hey there, lonely boy (lonely boy), lonely boy (lonely boy)
Let me make your broken heart like new
Oh, my lonely boy (lonely boy), lonely boy (lonely boy)
Don't you know this lonely girl loves you?

Hey there, lonely boy (lonely boy),
lonely boy (lonely boy)
>Ruby> Let me make your broken heart like new
Hey there, lonely boy (lonely boy),
lonely boy (lonely boy)
Don't you know this lonely girl loves you?

Oh, my lonely boy (lonely boy), lonely boy (lonely boy)
Let me make your broken heart like new

My lonely boy (lonely boy), lonely boy

@brianherrington7226

Most of the songs prior to 65 give me that same feeling and remembering boyhood and innocence of those tender years before hormones and puberty kicked in and from that point on life got real and complicated as life can.

@KristinkaAranova

@@brianherrington7226 that was the best era of music and the doo wop songs

@superiortroodon3112

This is a song that's so beautiful so dreamy they can never make music this great ever again, it's the dreamy early 60's that was the best time. it's very haunting brings back good memories of my childhood growing up in the 60 's. I love Ruby and the Romantics' music Ruby is one of the greatest female singers in my opinion and the Romantics had this unique cool awesome backing harmony sound. Me I'm gonna live and stay in the past when it comes to music, or comic books, pop art, movies, everything was the best back then. :) 🙋‍♂️
