Me Minus You
Rudy Vallee Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

You, you're driving me crazy
What did I do? What did I do?
My tears for you make everything hazy
Clouding the skies of blue

How true were the friends who were near me
To cheer me, believe me, they knew
But you were the kind who would hurt me
Desert me, when I needed you

Yes, you, you're driving me crazy
What did I do to you?

How true were the friends who were near me
To cheer me, believe me, they knew
But you were the kind who would hurt me
Desert me, when I needed you

Yes, you, you're driving me crazy
What did I do to you?

Rudy Vallee may have been radio's first superstar, and his voice is in great shape here!

@ianblakesley3349

Two things strike me about the record's label design:
It is billed as a "Radio Record". As records of the time were not allowed to be played on the radio (according to their label), was this disc allowed to be broadcast?
A image is shown of Mr. Vallee's face and signature. I know Paul Whiteman's Columbias showed his face (and over here Jack Payne was shown on his Imperial issues). Were other leaders honoured in this way?

Harry Richman and Seger Ellis had special picture labels.

@jourwalis-8875

This label doesn´t say that it is not intended for broadcast use.

Ted Lewis also had a special picture label in the US.
