A quiet little “room” with a still pond and lush foliage, some old wooden furniture scattered about, like a private reading nook carved in the earth that’d been abandoned for years.

Playing as a kid, it felt so peaceful and serene but sad at the same time…

It seemed like someone’s special magical place, but they died and it fell to disrepair.

This song always reminds me of that special little nook.

I think of this music and this place quite often. They remind me of the best parts of a childhood spent daydreaming. Games and books fed my imagination, letting me escape a reality I disliked, and nothing did it better than this quiet, lonely place and its melancholic theme. At the time, the feeling it described was that of an ancient and mysterious story. A story that was mine to invent. Now it feels like looking at the life I could have had if I hadn't wasted so much time alone in my dreams.

This is truly the main theme of Fable. I don’t care. This song is in all 3 games, title theme in 2, and the loading screen of 3. I didn’t even know that the fable theme was a thing until recently.

Edit: I just checked, the Fable 3 loading screen is a different song but I swear that I heard this song somewhere in the game.
