Shortline
Ry x Lyrics

Rushing water
Unkeeps the colour
Turn the cheeks in shadow
At the shortline
Who am willing
Undress your heart string
On your shortline
Let´s run to shelter
From violence for us that haven´t
Hold our tounges and feel our lungs
On the shortline
On the shortline
On the shortline
On the shortline
On the shortline
On the shortline
This is an amazing song- Love Lizette
The lyrics to Ry x's Shortline can be interpreted as a poetic description of a journey towards a place of refuge or safety from the struggles of life. The rushing water could represent the chaos and turbulence of the world, while "unkeeps the colour" could mean that this chaos drains the vibrancy from life. Turning the cheeks in shadow could be interpreted as a way to shield oneself from negativity or despair.
The second stanza seems to suggest the need for vulnerability in order to reach salvation. "Undress your heart string" could be a metaphor for opening oneself up emotionally, and "follow the thick thing boy" could be an encouragement to follow one's intuition or faith.
The chorus "Let's run to shelter, from violence for us that haven't, hold our tongues and feel our lungs on the shortline" further supports the idea of finding a place of safety or refuge, away from the violence and turmoil of the world. The concept of holding one's tongue could mean to be mindful of what we say, and recognize the power of our words.
Overall, Shortline encourages listeners to find a place of sanctuary, while emphasizing the importance of vulnerability, mindfulness, and faith.

There is such a depth and vulnerability to Ry's voice. Melancholic and yet laced with a sense of hope. A sort of Gaia goth!
