He is an alumnus of the McNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul, Minnesota, where his academic focus featured songwriting, film composition, and motion imaging. After receiving the Pete Carpenter Fellowship from BMI in 2003, where he studied briefly under composer Mike Post, Ryan moved to Los Angeles. His path would later take him over 5,000 miles away to the edge of the eastern Amazon basin of Bolivia, where his wife Carla’s family resides. It was while living in Santa Cruz, Bolivia that he was first inspired to form his own personal music project which later became the motion picture advertising company ‘City of the Fallen’ in 2009. His music and source of creativity is profoundly influenced by his faith in Jesus Christ. A prolific composer of the traditional orchestra, he is also constantly experimenting with the limitless combinations of the non-traditional sonic palette, ranging from the organic natural world to electronic synthesis and everything in between. His travels to Central and South America, Africa and Asia have cemented his fascination and love of world cultures, which at times find themselves weaved into the fabric of his music.

Let me list the most memorable quotes:
"Welcome home good hunter, what is it you desire?"
"Farewell good hunter, may you find your worth in the waking world."
"This too, us hunter's work, but it bears no honor. You may walk this path if you choose, but it is your choice alone.
"Now I will show you mercy, you will die, forget the dream, and awaken free from this horrible nightmare"
"Dear oh Dear, what was it? The blood, the hunt, it the terrible dream? Ah, no matter. It always come down to the hunter's helper to clean up these sorts of messes. Tonight gerhman joins the hunt"
"Curse the fiends, thier children too, and thier children forever true"
"Byrgenwerth, Bergynweth, the blood crazed fiends, mercy for the poor wizened child."
"A corpse should be left well alone. Oh I know how the secrets beckon so sweetly. Only an honest death will cure you now, liberate you from your wild curiosity"
"A bottomless curse, a bottomless sea, accepting of all there is and can be"
vaati vidya's voice saying anything
As you can see I have way to much time on my hands and I'm WAY to much of a nerd.

Oh poor soul
Kindled in a dark world
Where dreams are true
Visions are blot
By the animal, man has hidden in thy hearts
By the old church
The people cry
For a hope
That has not come
Oh poor soul
Come and enter the hunters realm
I'll be there....
Waiting upon your arrival....

Jeez.. the moment I entered the Hunter's Dream and heard this song replace the original theme was an obvious indicator that the game was nearing its end and that I would soon have to let everything go.
Miner Man60101
Demon's Souls pulled a similar thing; kill 3/5 Archdemons and the Nexus took on a much more sinister theme
Gabriel Laszacs
I know this is real late and you probably know this by now but the them actually changes when you hit 40 insight which is also when you get to see the Amygdalas hanging around in yharnam and other places

Oh yeah? So when you woke up mortals went mad with primal dread, and partook in wanton slaughter in your name? Was an unsightly black tower erected in your honor, one so putrid and great it polluted the cosmos itself?
'Cause it be a lot coolef if ya did.
