After thousands of hopefuls and surviving week after week of endless rounds,It was a gruiling four months of stiff competition. Ryan earned his spot as one of the Top 5 Finalists and battled it out on stage Live in Austin, TX (April 2007) for the Finals, Ryan placed in fourth at the end, and Won the Overall Best Artist Promotion Award. It was a dream come true for Ryan, It was what he hoped for, earning a spot in the Top five would change all the top five finalists life's with endless global promotions & oppurtunities.

When the Finals were over Ryan returned back home to his hometown -- Honolulu, HI & wasted no time slowing down, Ryan wanted to take advantage of what he had achieved and began recording his very first indie debut album titled ,'This is me the demo Project'. and was released in June 2007. Ryan debut on the Indie Music Charts at Number-three with his debut single "Miss you so much, Don't know Why" and made the Top 10 World Music Service Charts, Top 5 Airspun Music Charts and Top 20 Myspace Music Charts. To date, Ryan Pugal's music sales Online and selected local music stores throughout the USA has sold over 12,000 copies and units (worldwide) and made Ryan a indie success. Ryan believes the album's success was due to the fans he gained through famecast, Ryan also toured throughout selected cities in the mainland (in 2007) promoting the album.
