Ryan grew up on a horse farm in Ocala, Florida. He moved to Nashville when he was 18 and learned the ins and outs of the music industry at Belmont University. He then experienced the management side of the business when he hit the road as a tour manager for Jason Aldean.
But management is not Ryanβs dreamβ¦entertaining is. He continues to perform and has done so in front of countless strangers-turned-fans across the Southeast. That's what having a voice that industry leaders describe as amazing, infectious and, most importantly, unique will accomplish.
His voice and talent are well defined in his new project, Dreams. It's adventurous in "Slide," heartbroken in "If I Didn't Feel" and unwavering in "Don't Turn Around.β Ryan describes this project as βeverything Iβve been working forβ¦it has my style, sound, and the positive message I want people to hear.β

That first Tecate top popped at ten AM
Talk about day drinking
Little lime on the side, better drink it 'fore it's hot, yeah
That JBL's got those summertime vibes
Swaying those summer tan lines
Everybody's waiting on that burning rock to head on home
When the day's long gone
And the stars turn on
Baby, when the sun goes down
That neon gets a little brighter
Everybody gets a little bit wilder
Baby, when the sun goes down
We move in a little bit tighter
We get higher, higher
When the sun goes down, down, down, down
Whoa, whoa, whoa
Down, down, down, down
I got a front row seat behind these shades
Been looking at you all day
With your Billabong tied on, girl, come on
I can't wait to turn it up
Yeah, hit that dance floor, burn it up
Pull you in and light the night, the night on fire
Baby, when the sun goes down
That neon gets a little brighter
Everybody gets a little bit wilder
Baby, when the sun goes down
We move in a little bit tighter
We get higher, higher
When the sun goes down, down, down, down
Whoa, whoa, whoa
Baby, when the sun goes down
That neon gets a little brighter
Everybody gets a little bit wilder
Baby, when the sun goes down
We move in a little bit tighter
We get higher, higher
When the sun goes down, down, down, down
Whoa, whoa, whoa
Oh when the sun goes down
When the day's long gone
And the stars turn on
Baby, when the sun goes down, down, down, down
The song "Down" by Ryan Griffin is an upbeat, summer anthem about partying and having fun when the sun goes down. The lyrics talk about day drinking with friends, seeing the summertime vibes, getting a tan, and waiting for the sun to go down so that the fun can begin. The chorus emphasizes how everyone gets βa little bit wilderβ and moves βin a little bit tighterβ when the neon lights come on and the stars start shining.
The song has a carefree and fun vibe, celebrating the joyful feeling of being with friends, dancing, and having a good time. The line "Been looking at you all day" hints at a romantic interest and adds a touch of excitement to the party atmosphere. Overall, the lyrics can be interpreted as a celebration of youth, friendship and love, and living in the moment.
In terms of production, the song features country rock instrumentation with electric guitar riffs, a driving drumbeat, and an upbeat melody thatβs easy to dance to. The use of neon lights and the specific reference to Billabong suggest a coastal setting, and the overall vibe of the song is reminiscent of beach parties and summer festivals.
