Ryo-kun's voice can be classified as the boy next door type of voice - not too high and not too low. What may set Ryo-kun apart from other utaite is the distinct gentleness of his voice, he can do a wide variety of songs without his voice losing its softness. The lyrics to Ryo-kun's song "DOGS" are about consumerism and the trap that people fall into when they are constantly being sold new products. The first verse talks about how someone has only had their current item for six months, but there's already a new product with a better design. The singer is bored with their current item and is considering buying the new one, which has more features and is supposedly very popular. The second verse criticizes the sales tactics of businesses and suggests that people are puppets to the consumerist machine. The singer urges the listener to take control of their decisions and not fall prey to herd mentality.
The chorus uses the metaphor of dogs on a leash to describe people who are blindly following trends and buying new products without thinking for themselves.
