Limbe
S-Tone Inc. Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Le ciel c'est comme un voile
c'est immobile le soir
on entend pas le bruit
de tes pas sur le sol

Pas de destination
ni meme d'intention
total absence de joie
et de peine

Tu viens vers tu n'sais quoi
unique la directions
Tu n'as pas de reponses
ni meme de demandes
Tu viens

Le but c'est inconnue
il s'agit de l'instinct
tu ne t'interroge pas
si c'est bien ou si c'est mal
comme un fantome qui glisse
qui n'a plus de sexe
entre la realitè
l'inconscience et le reve

Tu viens vers tu n'sais quoi
unique la direction
Tu n'as pas de reponses
ni meme de demandes
Tu viens
Tu viens

Comme ca tu simplement tu viens
suspendu sous un ciel indefini
pas de couleurs pas de sons pas de souvenirs
hier... demain... rien...
seulement le present
le moment qui passe, qui glisse
qui revient
exactament egale a lui meme

Tu viens
Tu viens

Overall Meaning

The French lyrics of S-Tone Inc.'s song Limbe explain a sense of detachment and lack of direction. The singer compares the sky to a veil that is still during the evening, and there is no sound of footsteps on the ground. The singer has no particular destination or intention and feels no joy or pain. They move towards something that they don't even know, with no answers or demands. The purpose of the journey is unknown, and they don't question whether it's right or wrong. It's like they're a ghost, without a gender, somewhere between reality, unconsciousness, and dreams.

Since everyone here tells their moment when they heard the song for the first time:

I was walking into a snack bar in Heidelberg called „Hakims“ with two friends. Rumor has it that he makes the best spare ribs in the area. „Limbe“ was playing through speakers and I immediately shazamed it. Listening to this song brings back very good memories of this time. Stefano Tirone is a great musician and artist!

I was walking home from a cushy part-time job one summer day, on the sidewalk past the trees and brook in Tenney Park in Madison, WI, and I was listening to this song on repeat, and 12 years later it remains in my mind as one of those moments in a human life where everything felt right with the world.

Beautiful 👍

@pay9011

I heard this playing in a bookstore years ago. I was hooked immediately.

It's like a down tempo Loona song, without beautiful girls and their top notch dancing. 🤣

I love this so much. An acoustic version would be awesome!

@findthefish14

Heard this at a farmer's market today! Was drawn in by the beats and sitar, stayed for the French ;P
