Grinding for the longest
We put in work
This is all we ever wanted took 'em to church
Now I'm preaching for a profit
Aww man look at what we started
Grinding for the longest
We put in work
This is all we ever wanted took 'em to church
Now I'm preaching for a profit
Aww man look at what we started
(Nigga look at what we started)
Bad bitch with me all she eat is hors d’oeuvres
And the style too sick so the haters gon' hurt
My OG taught me stack your paper get to the money first
Making a lot of bad decisions just to run up these digits
When you from the solar system you don't have worldly commitments
BOOMsWORLD I stay there couple bitches play there
When you focused on winning it's kinda hard to play fair
When you do a lot of sinning it almost feels like GOD ain't there but HE always is
Wanted this dream since we was kids Putting in work just to get more work
Gotta go hard put ya best foot first
I don’t got one job grind too berserk
Flyest on this Earth
All we ever wanted was to put in work for work
Grinding for the longest
We put in work
This is all we ever wanted took 'em to church
Now I'm preaching for a profit
Aww man look at what we started
Grinding for the longest
We put in work
This is all we ever wanted took 'em to church
Now I'm preaching for a profit
Aww man look at what we started
(Nigga look at what we started)
I know I'm not the best
I won't say it so I'm not lying
To shine this bright there's no pressure we are not diamonds
Thor wordplay the flow been cold like the frost Giants
Tell myself go harder that's what Skkip taught us
Putting in work and I'm proud of what it brought us
More hunger more passion more goal satisfaction
Moreover less stress cause I'm feeling more blessed
More royalties like kingship more power moves like chess
Lifestyle too strategic and yea I really mean it
Putting in work for a reason I need it
Grinding for the longest
We put in work
This is all we ever wanted took 'em to church
Now I'm preaching for a profit
Aww man look at what we started
Grinding for the longest
We put in work
This is all we ever wanted took 'em to church
Now I'm preaching for a profit

Aww man look at what we started
(Nigga look at what we started)

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to S.B.S.M.'s "Work" discuss the grind and effort put into achieving success. The repetition of "grinding for the longest, we put in work, this is all we ever wanted, took 'em to church, now I'm preaching for a profit" emphasizes the idea that hard work pays off and leads to success. The "preaching for a profit" line suggests that through hard work and dedication, they have achieved a level of success that allows them to profit from their work. The reference to taking "em to church" could also mean that they are leading by example and inspiring others to work hard and achieve their goals.

The lyrics also touch on themes of indulgence and excess. The line about the "bad bitch with me all she eat is hors d’oeuvres" suggests a bougie lifestyle and a disregard for traditional meals. The reference to making "a lot of bad decisions just to run up these digits" could imply that they are living a fast-paced lifestyle to keep up with their success.

The overall message of the song is that it takes hard work, dedication, and a strong work ethic to achieve success. It encourages listeners to put in the work and stay focused on their goals, even when it seems like a challenge.

Kayana

Hello again! Irene, you mentioned that over 90 countries have been reached with SmartBody SmartMind. How did this happen, did someone translate the course into different languages? Has it been translated into German yet?

Irene Lyon

Kayana - Mara here with Team Lyon. The course is not translated. The participants take the course in English. We do have transcripts for most audio and video portions of the course, so some with English as a second language find they can listen while reading and in that way make sense of most of the content.

@Irene Lyon That sounds good, thank you!

door to the river

Hello team Lyon! I have found a local SE trained therapist and I was considering either working with her or doing SBSM. I know you can’t tell me which to choose, but I’m wondering if there IS some benefit to working in person with a SE practitioner. Part of me would like that human one-on-one connection. If anyone can lend any insight to this I’d be grateful. Both are new to me (SE in person sessions and SBSM.) thank you

Archeanna

I'm doing both and it's brilliant. I wouldn't give up either one. The only caution I would have is that, just because someone says they are trained in SE, it doesn't mean they have done enough of their own work or that they are a good fit for you. I wasted a few hundred dollars before I listened to my first impression and changed practitioners.
My wish is that it works for you as well as it has worked for me.

Is there any update with what happened with that scientific study that was being done with a research institute/university last year?

Sumbal Tasawwar

There was so much hype around it then! :)
