Choice
S.H.C.H. Lyrics

Roll one up
I know we getting older, but the night is young
You worried 'bout your friends when they could vibe with us
Yeah, it's already late, let's try and catch the sun
Just lay down your guard
Open your arms
I'm what you need, and lil mama, don't be alarmed
Just come with me, we'll be gone
I promise we won't be long
But if your heart tell you "Stay," then stay as long as you want
Whatever you do, the choice is yours
Whatever you do, the choice is yours
Whatever you do, the choice is yours
Whatever you do, the choice is yours
Whatever you do, the choice is yours
Whatever you do, the choice is...
Roll one up, roll one up
Roll one up, roll one up

Roll one up, roll one up
Roll one up, roll one up

Overall Meaning

The song "Choice" by S.H.C.H. is about taking control of one's own life and making choices that feel best for oneself. The lyrics urge the listener to let go of their worries and embrace the moment, the now, because life is short and the night is still young. However, throughout the song, there is a sense of hesitation, as if the person spoken to is not sure whether to go with the flow or stick to their previous plans. The lyrics suggest that either choice is valid, as long as it is what the person truly wants.

When the songwriter sings "Roll one up," they are referring to rolling a joint, which often implies loosening up and taking life less seriously. They want whoever they are speaking to, to forget their problems and concerns, just for a moment, and enjoy the present. The songwriter acknowledges that while the person may have their own plans, they could have just as much fun if they chose to join them. It's all about the choices that one is comfortable making.

In conclusion, "Choice" is about living in the moment and making the right decisions for oneself, no matter what those decisions may be.

I think the aliens in this show need more vocal processing in general to differentiate them from human voices. Most of the time it just sounds like a human recording the lines with a mask on

Why Not

Yea but most aliens just sound like humans in the universe. Theres very few who actually have different voices

Nicholas Hodges

@Why Not they usually have some difference in their timbre

EE

@Why Not In the tv shows yes, but not the movies. Most aliens don’t even speak English in the first 6 movies (although the different language is often enough to make them sound less human regardless of sound design)

edit: I was thinking of the less humanoid aliens when I wrote this comment

BramboNL

I completely agree. Even the Quarren woman spoke cleary, while she shouldn't.. It threw me off a little bit.

Shariq Hasan

In the clone wars and rebels some did have edited voices.

Dave: "Okay, okay, I got a great new idea for the next episode."
Jon: "Please Dave, nothing weird this time, alright?"
Dave: "Yeah, yeah I know. Okay, so, a Quarren cougar, really hot right, runs off with a young Mon Cala guy, because their people aren't at war anymore, see?"
Jon: "Okay, we can work with that actually-"
Dave: "And then she rubs her face tentacles on his face"
Jon: "G*ddamnit Dave!"

Honestly, considering how woke things are the fact that they are hetero is mind blowing.

Nicholas Hodges

They've had interspecies relationships in the EU.
The problem with this is pretty much everything else. The noodling doesn't help though

Tyler James

Should be the other way around because John Favreau actually wrote this not Dave Filoni.
