Cosmos
S.I.N. Experiment Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

You are my cosmos
You are my cosmos

She got
Give it to me 날 망가뜨릴 새로운 절망 (hey)
사랑에 눈을 뜬 동시에 makes me blind (hey)

You are my cosmos
You are my cosmos

You are my cosmos
You are my cosmos (hey)

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to S.I.N. Experiment's "Cosmos" are about being deeply in love with someone to the point that they are like a universe to the singer. The opening lines say, "Don't touch my hand like a passing cloud over my head. Don't know how much I love you." This suggests that the singer is asking the person they love to not treat them as a fleeting thought or feeling, but to understand the depth of their affection.

The chorus repeats, "You are my cosmos, don't lose that blinding light, my flower." This reiterates the idea that the person they love is like a universe to them, something vast and incomprehensible but also crucial to their existence. The second verse describes how the person's "juicy" laughter and intense gaze can make the singer feel both comfortable and dizzy with love. The final lines say, "As soon as I opened my eyes to love, it made me blind," highlighting the all-consuming nature of the singer's emotions.

Overall, "Cosmos" is a love song that compares the person the singer loves to something vast and powerful like the universe. The lyrics suggest both the joy and pain of loving someone so deeply.

lol, you're funny...

1. God creates creatures which become evil (Isa. 45.7)
2. Creates the wicked for the day of evil (prov. 16:4)

3. Is free to do as He pleases and is perfect in His ways (Dan. 4:35)
4. Saves individuals according to the good pleasure of His will doesn't mean that people aren't free in other decisions which they make.

I am one of those who is going insane trying to comprehend what you said.

On the other hand, I respect you for not dodging the question like many others do.

Edit: 3 years later, today in Feb 12th 2022 (I must have written my original comment on 2019 before Covid hit), I understand God's sovereignty in a different, and more acceptable way. I believe that the solution is in what he said @4:10 like one of the comments mentioned below.

I accept what I don't understand, and turn to the cross where He solved the problem of sin and gave me salvation and redemption from death.

Everything else come secondary to this insight.

God bless you all.

( Murder, rape , false doctrine, blasphemy etc are not the Plan of God, he does not invent it nor determine it , human freewill plus depravity is sufficient to create sin , no help from an omni determining God needed , Calvinism makes depravity and sin meaningless and irrelevant .) God doesn't plan rape , he plans around rape ( ie Freewill / Arminianism ).

Calvinists blame God for everything. but say everyone else gets the moral blame . even though alternate choice (freewill ) is necessary to have morality and personal blame.

Free will is the ability to choose something freely, the ability to want to do something. It’s not the ability to act on your own without God. That’s important to understand

God is omniscient and omnipotent and of course that means that everything that is happening in this world is caused by him, he wills and does everything, otherwise he wouldn’t be God. So yes, according to the Bible everything is pure fate and predetermined.

If you say, that this kind of predetermined world doesn’t make sense, then you don’t understand what it means to be a creator and what it means to be its creation.

It automatically means it’s only important what God wants, not what his creation wants. As a creator you can wreck your creation or not like I destroy the gift wrap and get rid of it but keep the present. It’s not important what the gift wrap wants, it’s important what I who just wants to keep the present wants.

When I complain that everything is predestined and God does what he wants, it's like my gift wrap complaining about why I do what I want.

Also, Saying people could choose to sin is very stupid. It’s funny because that thought denies God. Only God is holy, only he can give you the ability not to sin. People who are like

Yeah, but Satan chose to sin that’s why God will punish him with hell is so weird. In the beginning every living being God created didn’t sin at all by his protection.
Now you want to tell me there is some kind of creation of God like an angel who is like

„No God, I don’t care about your protection. I will sin now“ hahahah what’s that being who can do that. That would mean that today everyone in heaven could do the same thing the devil did in heaven. No difference.

Al-Ductur Al-Mawlana Sheikh Troll bin Abdul Aziz

PRINCIPLE 1
1) God's Knowledge (of the eternal past and future)
2) God's Recording (writing of destiny in His Book).
3) God's Will (for the events to happen)
4) God's Creation

Creation and fashioning
Predestination and guidance

All events, actions within the universe are a creation of God. The actions of the creation are created. However, the actions of God are 'uncreated' (i.e. divine).

PRINCIPLE 2
God's Will is of two types:
1) general universal Will (same meaning as Will). Does not necessarily mean it is liked by God.
For example, the disobedience and rebellion of Satan was already known by God before God created His creation. Because of His knowledge of what Satan would do, He had decreed such fate for him. The fate of Satan which God had decreed is for lessons to be extracted from, for indeed there is no evil except that good comes out of it later on.
2) Legislative Will. This is what God loves and wants (i.e. prefers. want can be defined as Will or Preference. In this context it is Preference) legally to happen. Does not necessarily mean it will happen.
For example, God loves for all people in earth to believe in Him. But it doesn't mean that it will definitely happen.

PRINCIPLE 3
Actions of God:
1) Preference/Bounty. Everything destined of good.
2) Justice. Everything destined of evil. Not attributed to Him.
The entire universe is alternating between His Bounty, and His Justice.

PRINCIPLE 4
If you cannot grasp the wisdom regarding something, then remember He is not questioned with regards to His actions while they the people are questioned.

PRINCIPLE 5
Actions of the slaves are created, and they are responsible and accountable for them.
God created for His slaves the ability, Will, body parts and Intellect.
All of the causes leading to doing the action are created, thus the action itself is created. However, the action is done by the doer.

Had there been a creation whom God chose to serve as His Deputy and Right Hand (it is not Jesus), then temporarily delegated His Divine Power and Authority to His Deputy for a particular task. At that particular moment in time, any action God's Right Hand would perform would be 'uncreated' (Divine). This is because His Right Hand would be doing what God Himself would have done (i.e. His Deputy would be deputising Him). The Deputy of God would be the only created being at God's side who's action can be Divine.

PRINCIPLE 6
The actions of the people are controlled by the people, they have been given choice and Will.
3 proofs that mankind has free will:
1) Sending of messengers
2) Choice in worldly and religious affairs
3) The humans would never accept oppression to themselves under the excuse that it is "destiny". E.g. A person harms another person and then says "this was decreed by God" (Yes, technically, God had decreed this to happen because He knew that this person would use His free will to commit such an action. His infinite knowledge qualifies Him to decree the fate of everything in existence).

PRINCIPLE 7
Predestination is used to prove calamities and trials, but not to prove sins and mistakes. Only after repentance can predestination be used to prove and justify past sins.

NOTES
The recording of destiny is done in order for God to show parts of it to whomever He wishes from His creation (the angels). Whatever information the angels possess is subject to change, while whatever is in the Preserved Tablet (the book in which destiny is written) never changes (i.e. the result).

Josh B

2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

Lamentations 3:33
For he does not willingly bring affliction or grief to anyone.

Ezekiel 18:23
Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign LORD. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live?

John 3:16
For God so loved THE WORLD that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

A Final thought, why would Jesus include in the Our Father Prayer "Your Kingdom come Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven" if His will was already always being done.

Isa 45:9  "Woe to him who strives with his Maker, an earthen vessel with the potter! Does the clay say to him who fashions it, 'What are you making?' or 'Your work has no handles'?
Isa 45:10  Woe to him who says to a father, 'What are you begetting?' or to a woman, 'With what are you in travail?'"
Isa 45:11  Thus says the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker: "Will you question me about my children, or command me concerning the work of my hands?
Isa 45:12  I made the earth, and created man upon it; it was my hands that stretched out the heavens, and I commanded all their host.

Job 40:7  “Dress for action like a man; I will question you, and you make it known to me.
Job 40:8  Will you even put me in the wrong? Will you condemn me that you may be in the right?
Job 40:9  Have you an arm like God, and can you thunder with a voice like his?
Job 40:10  “Adorn yourself with majesty and dignity; clothe yourself with glory and splendor.
Job 40:11  Pour out the overflowings of your anger, and look on everyone who is proud and abase him.
Job 40:12  Look on everyone who is proud and bring him low and tread down the wicked where they stand.
Job 40:13  Hide them all in the dust together; bind their faces in the world below.
Job 40:14  Then will I also acknowledge to you that your own right hand can save you.

Piper: "Everything, including every sinful thing, is ultimately governed by God."
Also Piper: "The center of the solution to the problem is a choice you have to make about the cross"

Someone explain to me how God can predetermine everything, down to the movement of a dust particle, and then Piper can say that I have a choice to make about the cross? If God predetermined everything, I can't see how there is any choice on our part.

Saint Beloved

I just talked to a calvinist who said God made people do all their evil sins. That's intense.

Well in Luke 10:31 in the good Samaritan story, the priest that happens to walk by BY CHANCE , also made a choice not to help. He might have gotten dirty or suffered somehow for helping. If by chance then his choice of which road to travel is not predestined ! Phil 1:29 it is given in behalf of Christ to believe and to suffer .....both of those are choices we make.

@Steve Hardwick I have enjoyed our discussion as we have both brought our own interpretations to the table.
The original text of Ephesians 1 in Greek is all one flowing sentence, so any English translation is going to be a challenge to base a whole theological argument from. I learn a lot from hearing others views.
My view is that we as individuals and a group are called and elected into CHRIST. Not ‘eternal life’ but into Christ. A loving God doesn’t exclude, He offers an open invitation to humanity as it says in other parts of the New Testament that He desires ALL to be saved. All means all.
“who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge and recognition of the [divine] truth.”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭2:4‬ ‭AMP‬‬

So everyone is desired to join the family of God through Jesus. I look forward to chatting about other topics in Heaven with you, when we see things from an eternal perspective!

Tim G

@chooser That’s exactly right! I 100% agree with these verses as they are clear about anyone hearing the word having to guard their heart (the soil).
Jesus says if we don’t keep our soil (our heart) tended to, we will be pulled away. Either it’s stolen immediately, or it’s choked out by the desires of the world, or persecution etc.
If we keep our hearts right, the word penetrates deeply.
This discussion is about God preordaining people to hell.
The parable of the sower (in my opinion) is a great example of God putting it back on US to keep our heart right… Our salvation depends on us obeying the word and not allowing Satan to steal it.

Steve Hardwick

@Tim G If God is all knowing and eternal, if election pertains to the church as a collective, it seems that it would also apply to the individual. He knows which individuals make up the collective.

Knowing that God❤️✝️ is a good God helps me rest that even through the negative things in the world He (created)-(allowed) to happen it has purpose we may not understand but He is sovereign, and it keeps me at peace knowing He is in total control

What if there is no God. What if no one is in control but ourselves???

One day Christ will return and every person will see Him in His glory. No opinions will be entertained. Everyone will be silenced and know that He is the great, "I AM"
