Stormtroopers Of Death includes the famous Billy Milano (M.O.D.) on vocals, Scott Ian on guitar and Charlie Benante on drums (both of Anthrax fame). Also, bassist Dan Lilker has been in many other underground metal bands, including Brutal Truth, Nuclear Assault, Exit-13 and early Anthrax among others.
S.O.D. don’t always write songs to anger, but often pen lyrics to amuse. For instance, in response to their (misconstrued) earlier lyrics, S.O.D. wrote the politically-correct (and Agnostic Front-esque) We All Bleed Red: a track that condemns racists and racism. Also, S.O.D. include healthy doses of humor for the metal fan, poking fun at Slayer (Seasoning the Obese), Celtic Frost (Celtic Frosted Flakes), and King Diamond/Mercyful Fate (King at the King/Evil Is In). The cover to Bigger Than the Devil is a tribute to the classic Number of the Beast by Iron Maiden.
From The BNR Metal Pages (http://www.bnrmetal.com/):
“06/25/2002 : Following personal disputes between Billy Milano and the two Anthrax members (Scott Ian and Charlie Benante) concerning the “Behind The Music” VH-1 program on Anthrax (Milano felt that Danny Lilker was slighted) the band is once again disbanded. “

What's that noise?
Check, CHECK...
What is that noise?
HEY AL怷, what's that noise?
C'mon guys, seriously
what;s that fuckin' noise?
Cough, cough, hack...
Holy shit, is it loud?
What is that noise?
Aargh! What's that noise?
Stop it! Oh God, help me
What's that noise?
I can't take it
Cough, cough, oh God
What's that noise?
The lyrics of S.O.D.'s "What's That Noise?" seem to depict a chaotic and overwhelming situation where the singer is struggling with a loud, disturbing noise that keeps on disrupting their peace. They start by checking their microphones and asking what the noise is, indicating a sense of confusion and disorientation. Soon, the noise becomes unbearable with the singer unable to take it anymore, leading to coughing and distress. The urgency in the voice suggests that there is a real threat posed by the noise, and that the singer might be feeling under attack or overwhelmed.
The lyrics can be interpreted in various ways, including as a commentary on sensory overload or as a metaphor for societal and political disarray. The repeated line, "What's that noise?" could be seen as a plea for help or as a question posed to the general public or political leaders who are expected to bring order and clarity to a chaotic situation. Alternatively, the lyrics could simply be taken at face value: a description of a disturbing noise that makes it hard to function and think straight.
