Inside Out
S.O.R.B Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I'm looking for to lay to waste
Of all the things I cannot taste
And this is not the racy race, they spoke loud
(I believe in what you do)
(I believe in watching you)
(I believe in what you do) it's what you do
I could turn you inside-out
What I choose not to do
I could turn you inside-out
What I choose not to do
Given the choice
Given the heart
Given the tool
Given the word
Given the cheers
(I believe in what you do)
(I believe in watching you)
(I believe in what you do) it's what you do
(I believe in watching you)
(I believe in what you do)
(I believe in watching you) I, I, I, I, I
I could turn you inside-out
What I choose not to do
I could turn you inside-out
What I choose not to do
I believe in what you do
I believe in watching you
I believe in what you do (given the choice)
I believe in watching you (given the heart)
I believe in what you do (given the tool)
I believe in watching you (given the word)
I believe in what you do (given the cheers)
I believe in watching you
I could, I
I could turn you inside-out
What I choose not to do
I could turn you inside-out
What I choose not to do
Given the choice
Given the heart
Given the tool
Given the word
Given the cheers
Given the cheers
Given the choice
Given the choice
Given the choice
The song Inside Out by S.O.R.B explores the concept of choice, power and control in relationships. The lyrics urge the listener to divide their pearls in haste, the pearls here symbolizing valuable aspects of oneself, as the singer looks to lay them to waste. This can be interpreted as the desire to let go of one's inhibitions and give into reckless impulses, leading to a self-destructive behavior. The singer goes on to acknowledge their ability to turn their partner inside out, to have control over them, but they choose not to exercise this power. The repeated lines "Given the choice, given the heart, given the tool, given the word, given the cheers" further emphasize the idea of choice and the ability to make a decision, while also implying that with choice comes responsibility.
The repeated refrain "I believe in what you do, I believe in watching you" can be seen as a warning or a promise, depending on the interpretation. On one hand, it could mean that the singer is watching their partner's every move, ready to pounce on any mistake or weakness; on the other hand, it could be a declaration of faith and admiration, acknowledging the power and strength of their partner's actions.
The overall tone of the song is ominous and foreboding, hinting at a potentially toxic relationship, where control, power and manipulation are key elements. The lyrics are open to interpretation, allowing the listener to see the song as a commentary on the dynamics of love, power, and control in relationships, or as a warning against the dangers of reckless behavior.

@TheaterPup yes and no. Unless you prove that the companies product is designed in a way that using it as intended still causes harm then yeah. That company is somewhat responsible. Zorb ball for instance. It is designed to be rolled around in, it has grips to hang on, it has a larg enough hole to allow sufficient oxygen. It is not however designed to support impacts off of a cliff. So the product was not being used as designed. The ski resort, has the designated marks for snowboarding and sno skis, however it is not designed for a zorb ball to roll down. There fore the people who are responsible is the ones who volunteered themselves down a ski-slope in a zorb ball. Not difficult to understand. If the resort had a slope designed to stop zorb balls and the zorb ball still fell off the mountain then yes ski resort is responsible because the slope didn't stop them like it was supposed to.
