S.U.S.P.E.C.T.S Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
In "Cycle", S.U.S.P.E.C.T.S describes a journey of hardship that has led to growth and strength. While life may seem like a miserable experience at times, the tears won't fall from their eyes as they have come to understand that misfortune can lead to invaluable knowledge, and that knowledge can ultimately develop into a source of greater inner strength. However, as they move on from their difficult experiences, it is a reflection of what they chose not to do that made all the difference. Despite overcoming obstacles, there are still people in their life trying to hold them back and telling them they won't succeed. This causes frustration and a feeling of losing touch, as they recall feeling the same emotions growing up when it was all about hate. But S.U.S.P.E.C.T.S is determined to survive and overcome these obstacles, no matter how many flames they must walk through. There is a sense of underlying danger and a threat of violence in the lyrics as they question if they took someone's life, could they keep their own?
