Following the release of their debut album, Last Chance For A Legacy, they've spent the last two years filling Seattle's largest venues and dazzling them with signature high-energy shows. Never the same show twice, S.Y.F.T often pulls from Seattle's vast talent pool to bring audiences fun and interesting guest musicians presented in a unique forum. This includes once using a jazz horn section to fill out a cover of Faith No More that brought the house down. The ever progressing and more elaborate live show has recently been fortified by the addition of local ax master Josh Perry, formerly of Temperedcast.
The band has been featured many times and continues to count among their supporters local rock giants KISW 99.9 and Portland's KUFO 101.1. Their music has also been played on an array of college and Internet radio stations throughout the country. They have been lucky enough to share the stage by supporting national tours like Powerman 5000.
S.Y.F.T’s brand of rock music has gone to the next level with their sophomore effort New Beginning, produced by Grammy-winning producer/engineer Justin Armstrong. With the hard-driving single "Ten Ton Brick" at the forefront, the band is working with Static Management to bring New Beginning to music fans all over the United States.

Yo, yo
Bring in the big guns, weapons is ready
In the square shoot the heady reppin the yeti is ready
Bout time last train from Gun Hill, Dunn chill
Stay filled with exhilaration from one kill
[Scott Free]
Smack the drum black, black rap Jack Dempsey
You get laced without a trace just for takin up space
Bill Bill the bombville you still catch a Gas Face
For real
These lyrics are from the collaborative song "New Beginning" by S.Y.F.T. featuring verses from MF Doom and Scott Free. In these specific lyrics, MF Doom begins his verse referencing "big guns" and "weapons is ready" which alludes to the preparation for conflict or battle. He then mentions "the square" which could be referring to a central area where the battle is taking place, and "the yeti is ready" which could be interpreted as a symbolic reference to a mythical, fierce, and powerful creature that is ready to fight. He then mentions "last train from Gun Hill" which could be a reference to a famous Western film of the same name where the singer fights to maintain law and order in his town. Overall, MF Doom's verse describes a readiness for battle and a focus on successfully completing one's objective.
