Rising from the ashes of the Portland, Oregon electronic act, Omnibox, SD6 was officially born in 2002. After a seemingly never-ending search for additional personnel, singer/songwriter Brandon Jerwa reassigned manager Jessica Blackshear to the role of a full-fledged band member. Soon enough, everything naturally fell into place: a relocation to Seattle turned out to be a creative breath of fresh air, and the duo quickly found their missing link with the addition of highly skilled keyboardist Nicole Edmonds.
Jerwa's sudden - and successful - breakthrough as a comic book writer forced the band to take their time during the recording process, so they simply rolled with the punches. The extra time spent on the record paid off, allowing the band's sound to grow and evolve naturally for their first release, rather than forcing the process through the crunch of deadlines. Along the way, the circle widened to include Fritter (former drummer for Backandtotheleft, Noxious Emotion and Omnibox).
With everything in place, Tom Shear of Assemblage 23 was recruited for his well-known production polish to bring out the best in the music created by the band. The result is the band's debut, "Between Noise and Transmission", a unique blend of emotionally intense lyrics, ear-catching melodies, and relentless dance beats with a fluid electronic backdrop. Indeed, the album is a still-life portrait of a band constantly in motion, but unwilling to be pushed in one defined direction.
The band continues to play regular shows, supporting such acts as Covenant, Melotron, Cesium 137 and Icon of Coil. Full-scale tour plans are currently being mapped out for 2007, following the release of the new record. "Between Noise & Transmission" will be released on 23db Records on January 30th, 2007.

Greetings... Afternoon... How are doing??? Thx for the Post... Sounding and or is reminding me a little of the Covenant's Dead Stars... Or Cut Copy Nobody Lost Nobody Found... And maybe some Grand National Talk Amongst Yourselves or Rub Your Potion... Only with some Metal... On Tracks I've been putting in Playlists trying to reseparate them into sings with words songs without words etc... Also Ran into this Song on a FB Page SinkMist... As was wondering if you have time could reply if you get the same couple of songs that come on after it is over as what came on for me... As not sure if everyone gets the same song or playlist lineup... or if depends on the users preferences... as sometimes when you fast forward to the end to see what the next song is going to be... it goes to a different song versus if the song or video is allowed to play all the way thru... @@Subject98 Okay I Guess... Rough in what way... Money & Bills??? If so that's pretty much same here... trying to get credit card paid off after making some purchases so probably going to be on tight budget until say the fall... not sure... mainly need to bring it down more because interest payments start getting higher & higher the longer you don't pay it off... So what do you do for a living... I was thinking you said you were married... so wasn't sure if you were working alot???

Mainly couldn't Sleep... Mostly everyone around the Neighborhood and or Block I'm Located all playing this HipHop stuff that mostly sounds like some Taliban Middle East Terrorist Fighting... Drums going Boom Boom Baboom Boom like Bombs going off as the melodic Parts sound kind of like Sitar Riffs with the Radio blarring some Abdul sounding Communication... Mmmm Abba dolaw abba me Mahma etc etc etc... In which they pull up real Fast and or Slow like the Ice Cream Man... Thumping N Pumping N Bumping... Trying to push N plug "Get the Hell outta our Neighborhood and or Block" trying Target Individuals... as it only appears to be outside my House not any of the other Blocks & Streets... So I go on Youtube... Flipping on all of these different Channel Hosts on in different Windows one after the other so they were all on at the same time... Sounds just like being at a Restraurant full of people having different conversations going on at the different Tables... Then Start Blasting It... As I was then Putting some Music Videos on at same Time... Such as this Lifelike-So Electric... It starts sounding like Vocals are being Pulled out of the Scrambled Jiberish of Garbled Voices... As When I was listening to your Post here a couple of times... writing the other comment... I was getting the Link for the Song in which it started playing while your post here was playing... As the Overlay of both started sound like they were same song almost... were I've had it go on with other songs at times...
