Who da fuck is that?
What a...
The opening lines of SEEDA's song, "SkiT", set the tone for this narrative about a man who is having a confusing and disorienting morning. The sound of a doorbell ringing, represented musically by the phrase "ピンポン鳴る," startles the singer awake and jolts him out of bed. The use of onomatopoeic language helps to convey the sense of urgency and confusion felt by the singer, who is disoriented by the sudden noise.
As he stumbles towards the door, the singer wonders aloud "Who da fuck is that?" When he looks through the peephole, he sees no one there. The situation becomes increasingly surreal, as the singer hears a ringing phone and realizes he doesn't recognize the number. When he answers, there is no one on the other end. As the song progresses, the singer tries to make sense of what is happening, but he is increasingly frustrated and unable to piece together the various clues.
The imagery in "SkiT" is both vivid and fragmented, creating a sense of disorientation for the listener that mirrors the confusion felt by the singer. The repeated references to the "four corners" or "corners of the square" underscore the sense of confinement and limitation felt by the singer. The lines "去る音に誰だよお前?" (Who are you, making that sound as you leave?) suggest a sense of loss or abandonment, as does the repeated refrain "何も答えない" (no one answers). The song ends on a dissonant note, with the singer still struggling to make sense of what is happening to him.
