Before Shanadoo
Manami, Junko and Chika were known as the idol group 'Vivace' under the label Avex. There was also a forth member named Kotomi Ban but she left the 'Vivace' in 2005. The group mainly existed for promotion purposes. They released trading cards, photobooks and two songs, 'Flame Love' and 'On My Own'. These songs should remain their only ones until the girls decided to team up with Marina as the lead singer to form 'Shanadoo'.

As a note, 'Vivace' are still sort of active. Their last live performance was on 02/04/2006 during Avex' Girl's Box ~Spring Special Live~. Also, Manami, Junko and Chika are still working as a models.

Overall Meaning

Hatte mich gestern mit nem alten Freund getroffen, den ich seit über zehn Jahren nicht mehr gesehen habe.

WIr haben über alte Tage gesprochen und dann ist ihm dieser Song eingefallen.

Jetzt habe ich nen Ohrwurm. Es gab aber auch noch ne chinesische Girlsgroup namens "Jade" die hatten nen Song namens "Finally".

Bevor mich jemand korrigiert, ja ich weiß, Shanadoo sind aus Japan und nicht aus China. Als mein Kollege diesen Song erwähnte musste ich erst and Jade denken, erst als er mir King Kong gezeigt hat, ist es mir wieder eingefallen. Auch der Name der Band Shanadoo war mir ein Begriff, ich hatte es nur nicht mehr aufem Schirm, nach all den Jahren.

Ich bin auf sie 2006 aufmerksam geworden, als King Kong auf Viva lief. Verfolgte sie, da ich generell Japan Fan bin. Aber Shanadoo kam in Deutschland nicht wie erhofft gut an, daher blieben sie ab 2009 in ihrem Land.
Und nein, die sind als Band seit 2012 nicht mehr aktiv, und Mai 2014 kam die Offizielle Auflösung der Band.

Das Mitglied Chika arbeitet nun als unter dem Künstlernamen "DJ C'k" als DJ in der japanischen EDM- und Clubszene.

Fand ich schade, die Musik war oft toll, mit Gefühl, Ruhe und schönen Melodien.
Hab immer noch das erste Album "Welcome to Tokio" daheim und die Single "Japanes Boy" :D

Also laut wikipedia stammt die Originalversion (englischer Text) von E-Rotic, dann hat HINOI Team den japanischen Text rausgebracht und schließlich hat Shanadoo den Song gecovert. Der Großteil der alten Shanadoo-Songs sind gecovert. Ich weiß nicht, wie es mit den Songs von The Symbol aussieht, aber ich glaube Launch Party ist das erste Album in dem alle Songs Shanadoo-Originale sind.

@333SakuraHaruno Don't expect certain Poles to write in English. Even though they know it, they want to show how much Polish they are. However, it's quite fun for me to see comments in native language written under underground Asian music videos with few thousand of views :D
