Calling Out
SOiL Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
How do you expect to make it all alone
There's no reason to insist
Pushing further
I can take away your fear
I can make it disappear
Call out my name
Call out my name
I'll be there
A picture paints a thousand words
Like the silence
To sacrifice yourself
It's not the way things should be
Open arms are raging out
I'm coming for you now
I can take away your fear
I can make it disappear
Call out my name
I'll be there for you
Call out my name
I'll be there
Call out my name
And I will save you
Call out my name
I'll be there, yeah
Each day you break, I'm stronger
No matter what cloud you're under
Offering yourself to this
It's not the way
It's not the way into there
Call out my name
I will save you
Call out my name
I'll be there
Call out my name
I will be there for you
Call out my name
I'll be there
Just call out my name
(Call out my name)
Just call out my name
(Call out my name)
Call out my name
I'll be there, yeah
The lyrics to Soil's song "Calling Out" are lyrics of comfort and assurance to someone who has been struggling alone. The song starts by acknowledging how the person has been handling everything alone, and the weight that comes with that. The singer then encourages the person to call his name whenever they need help. He tells them that he will be there for them, and that he can take away their fear and make it disappear. The second verse uses imagery to describe how the person has been sacrificing themselves and how that is not the way things should be. The singer then says that no matter what state the person is in, he will be there for them. The chorus is then repeated twice more with the singer assuring the person that they will always be there for them when they need help.
The song's theme centers around the idea of not having to go through difficult times alone. The singer encourages someone who has been carrying a heavy burden to reach out to him whenever they need help. The song emphasizes the importance of having someone to turn to and how that can make all the difference in the midst of difficult times. The lyrics suggest that reaching out for help is not a sign of weakness, but rather a sign of strength and self-awareness.
