STILL NAIVE Lyrics

Money on pockets equals fucked up state of mind
It's nothing sacred, I don't believe it
You couldn't take it, I'll never give it away
You habitual people never seem to get it right
That shit will make you suffer, don't let it ruin your life...
So habitual, you feign all day and fix all night
(You habitual people)
Arise and open in an apathetic blaze
Do you speak the truth or speak the lie right in my face?
It's nothing sacred, I don't believe it
You couldn't take it, I'll never give it away
You habitual people never seem to get it right
That shit will make you suffer, don't let it ruin your life...
So habitual, you feign all day and fix all night
You will learn to let it ruin you...
(You habitual people)
Why?
Why don't you save yourself
From your own goddamn self
Why don't you save yourself
Why don't you save yourself
From your own goddamn self
Why don't you save yourself
From your own goddamn self
You...
You habitual people never seem to get it right
That shit will make you suffer, don't let it ruin your life...
So habitual, you feign all day and fix all night
You will learn to let it ruin you...
(You habitual people)
Ruin you
(You habitual people)
The lyrics of "Rehab" by STILL NAIVE are a warning against falling into addiction and the habitual behavior that can often accompany it. The song suggests that the pursuit of money and material goods can lead to a "fucked up state of mind," and that there is nothing sacred about this lifestyle. The singer refuses to give into these temptations and urges others to do the same, recognizing that addiction can ruin lives if not addressed.
The song also addresses the issue of habitual behavior, specifically in regards to drug use. The singer warns that those who are "feigning all day and fixing all night" will only learn to let addiction ruin them. The use of repetition in the chorus, with the phrase "you habitual people," emphasizes the detrimental effects of addiction and the need to break free from these patterns. The final refrain of "why don't you save yourself from your own goddamn self" drives home the message that it is ultimately up to the individual to take responsibility for their actions and seek help when needed.
Overall, "Rehab" is a powerful song that speaks to the dangers of addiction and the importance of breaking free from destructive habits. It urges listeners to take control of their lives and avoid falling into the trap of addiction, while also recognizing the difficulty of overcoming these challenges.
