I do understand
그만해 so please get off of me
I do understand
Give away, give away
It's on the house
그만해 so please get off of me
I do understand
I do understand

The lyrics of SunMi's song "What The Flower" explore the theme of someone trying to maintain their beauty and charm despite their internal struggles. The song opens with the line "You don't have to smile, but why? You're still beautiful." This suggests that the singer is pretending to be fine and putting on a facade of happiness even when they don't feel like it. The following lines mention a withered tone of voice and a heart that spits out emotions without feeling, implying emotional detachment. However, the singer claims to understand this behavior.
The chorus repeats the same sentiment, questioning why the person insists on touching the singer and requesting them to back off. The closer the person gets, the more distant the singer feels. This may represent a desire for personal space and a boundary between themselves and others.
The bridge introduces the idea of a smile that seems forced, indicating that it is given away as a free gift. The singer states that they haven't really given it much thought, comparing themselves to a pretty flower that simply exists without any specific meaning. The song concludes with a repetition of the previous chorus and the phrase "You're like a flower, like a flower," emphasizing the beauty and fragility of the person in question.
