Nation violently oppressed in the quest for freedom thousands dead

Law is held supreme black man have no rights at all
How can we let this be in their country they must be free when will
In this age let's have harmony all people can be free this injustice must
Now end the masses will be free again
How can we let this be in their country they must be free when will
Segregation end when will the masses be free again
The song "State of Emergency" by Sacred Reich addresses the issue of apartheid in South Africa, which was a system of racial segregation and discrimination enforced by the white minority government against the black majority population. The lyrics express disgust at the treatment of political prisoners who were jailed, beaten, and left to die, as well as the violent oppression of the youth and thousands of deaths resulting from the quest for freedom. The song poses the question, "How can we let this be in their country? They must be free. When will segregation end? When will the masses be free again?"
The singer indicates disgust and disbelief at the injustice, emphasizing that white man's law is held supreme while black men have no rights at all. The chorus repeats the demand for freedom and an end to segregation, calling for harmony among all people and an end to this injustice. The song is a powerful call to action, demanding that people stand up against oppression and fight for freedom and equality.
Overall, "State of Emergency" is a passionate and thought-provoking song that addresses a significant social issue. It highlights how music can be used as a political tool to raise awareness and inspire people to take action against injustice.
