Ironically nostalgia critic is nostalgic for me. I don’t watch NC much anymore but I’ll never forget discovering his videos. It was 2011 and I was in 8th grade and going through getting picked on and his videos helped me get through stuff.

My favorite aspect about Doug Walker is his prolific video upload consistency.

Regardless of the subject matter or varying quality of each video, he has been the most consistent uploader I have ever seen on the internet.

While most other content creators will take huge amounts of time off and then come back like 2-5 years later pretending like nothing happened, Doug will go above and beyond to make that weekly video deadline.

And that goes double in December with all those shorter 5 minute-long reviews where he would upload at least one video a day for those 31-or-so days!

Here in August 2019. I watched NC back in high school, 2011, and watched through every special, loved the crossovers, and couldn’t get enough of Doug’s comedy. Found this song and thought it was a perfect theme for NC. Then the break happened, he came back and I was so happy to have him back. Then the drama with Channel Awesome came to light. I was incredibly disappointed and so disturbed with everything that I’ve stopped watching to this day. You captured a perfect moment with this theme and music video with it and I want to thank you for creating such, as well as vibe with you with the melancholy and nostalgia of the good (and bad) days gone by with the Nostalgia Critic, Doug Walker, and the old team of TGWTG and Channel Awesome.

Epic Brony Gamer there was a document that was released, detailed accounts from multiple former Channel awesome creators of a range of harassment, unhealthy work environments, and content conflicts just to name some, all levied towards channel awesome and its management. The doc is public if you wanna look it up

I looked into it and it seems like most of the complaints are either about little nitpicks, things that they would've known about upon joining, things that could potentially happen at ANY media production company, getting lower priority than nostalgia critic reviews even though those are more popular anyway, or mistakes that snowballed/were blown out of proportion/were taken the wrong way/everyone has probably made at some point. some of the silliest complaints were misspelling someones name which was probably the result of a typo, and not referring to someone by name which I do all the time since I couldn't remember all the names of any individual group I'm in if my life depended on it. even if every point on the document were valid I still wouldn't stop watching nostalgia critic since I don't watch it to support those involved, I watch it because no matter what they do behind the scenes they still make quality content that I find entertaining.

This only begs the question, why did Doug use his own bland music instead of this song which came from a place of love and passion? It's not like he was unaware of this. He used it in his first three commercial specials.

@SuperRetrodude Totally agreed. I first time I heard it, I seriously thought it was some obscure 90s song that I thought I'd heard when I was a kid. Sad Panda found the perfect tone and melody to fool us, and that's just awesome.

This song was always so beautiful to me especially when it was playing on the original series finale I love songs that play at the end of show finales because they have such a sense of fulfilment especially looking back at the path the TV show or in this case youtube show has paved and how many memories and likable characters and the journey they had if nostalga critic ends officially I would love them to have a montage of old videos with this song playing and I would love it to not be a review but an ending to this amazing show with all the characters I love nostalga critic
