Saimons was formed in March 2005 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It all began when Santiago and Sebastian after leaving their original band decided to start another one with Felipe, a high school classmate. Unlike most bands from Argentina the idea was to compose and perform in English. They needed a drummer, so they called their friend (Miguel), who had began lessons the year before. During the first months the band dedicated their time to composing and a few small appearances. At the end of that year they recorded a demo that was well received by the small, but devoted audience it was intended for. In 2006, the idea of being a serious band and the improvement in their music led to several appearances and a small but constant increase in followers. 2007 the band recorded a new six track demo and was followed by the first video clip (Hold my hand). Later that year the band realized that their music would more appreciated in English spoken countries. Due to this, they had a four month tour during 2008, visiting Palm Beach- Florida and Puerto Rico. 2009 Saimons is finishing recording their first full length album that will be released late March. This will be followed by a second tour to Palm Beach -Florida and open to the rest of the USA.
Music Review
Introducing Saimons: Felipe Campos (Vocals/Guitar), Santiago Diaz Bonilla (Guitar/Backing Vocals), Sebastian Menoyo (Bass) and Miguel Roibon (Drums). Hailing from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Saimons is the brainchild of Santiago and Sebastian. In 2005 they recruited their friends Felipe and Miguel; together they set out to present their songs in the English language, thus making them stand out from many of their fellow Argentinean bands and allowing Saimons´ music to be much more accessible.
Over the year the band has managed to increase their audience figures. The first material from Saimons was unleashed at the end of 2005. Another demo was recorded 2 year later and their first video clip followed shortly afterwards – directed by Juan d´ Urbano – for the song ´Hold my Hand´.
The quartet soon figured out that they needed to get their music reaching countries which were fluent in the English language; so last year the band spent four months touring in the areas of Palm Beach, Florida and Puerto Rico.
Their sound in contemporary and packaged with a good dose of melody and spark, with flavors of pop, indie and rock seeping out throughout the songs.
Judging by their music alone Saimons is a band who could go the distance. They are the kind of band who definitely have a place in the music scene and there is a much wider audience waiting out the ready to discover them.

I've got a feeling down my spine.
I Left the dreams behind.
It's so unreal
It's what I need but can't reveal.
We'll take the long way home.
'Cause I just can't let them go.
Can't stay in line
I've got to change the course tonight
But I just can't take the bite.
A broke down toy
I'm looking for an open door.
This silence making noise.
But these words, they went deeper than you meant now baby
'Cause I just can't let them go.
So please won't you let me drown this fire ending.
So please 'cause I've been waiting for the answers lately.
Maybe I should take it slowly
One step at the time.
A broke down toy
I'm looking for an open door.
This silence making noise.
But these words, they went deeper than you meant now baby
'Cause I just can't let them go.
So please won't you let me drown this fire ending.
So please 'cause I've been waiting for the answers lately.
So please won't you let me drown this fire ending.
So please 'cause I've been waiting for the answers lately.
The song "Panic" by Saimons portrays a sense of restiveness and anxiety. The opening line of the song, "It wakes me up," hints that the singer is disturbed by something. The following line, "I've got a feeling down my spine," emphasizes the inexplicable nature of the feeling that has caused the singer's restiveness. The next line, "I Left the dreams behind," suggests that the singer has given up on their dreams; perhaps they are no longer attainable, or maybe they just seem too far-fetched.
The second verse continues with the theme of unease and frustration, with lines such as "Can't stay in line" and "I've got to change the course tonight." The singer feels trapped and constrained, unable to follow the rules or stay on the path that others have prescribed for them. However, the singer is also uncertain about how to move forward, as seen in the line "But I just can't take the bite."
The chorus of the song repeats twice, with the lyrics "So please won't you let me drown this fire ending. So please 'cause I've been waiting for the answers lately." The singer seeks relief from their anxiety and confusion, asking for help to put out the "fire ending" that seems to be consuming them. They are waiting for answers, perhaps hoping that someone or something will offer clarity and direction.
