Saint Asonia came into being when Staind guitarist Mike Mushok and Three Days Grace frontman Adam Gontier began writing together just after the latter split with his flagship band. Impressed with what they had managed to conjure up, the duo enlisted Eye Empire bassist Corey Lowery, and former Finger Eleven drummer Rich Beddoe to complete their initial lineup. Heading into the studio with producer Johnny K (Disturbed, Megadeth, Sevendust), the quartet began work on their debut long-player. Released in July 2015, the eponymous full-length Saint Asonia resembled the sum of its parts and was a success both at home, where it reached the Canadian Top Ten, and in the U.S., where it made a solid showing at number 29 on the Billboard 200.
Prior to their next release, Saint Asonia swapped out their rhythm section, with former Staind drummer Sal Giancarelli replacing Beddoe and Art of Dying bassist Cale Gontier (who is also Adam Gontier's cousin) replacing Lowery. With their second lineup settled, the group recorded their 2019 follow-up, Flawed Design, for the Spinefarm label.
Fairy Tale
Saint Asonia Lyrics

So do you remember
All the time you spent
Saying things you never really meant?
It was all pretend
And it caught up to you in the end
(Caught up to you in the end)
And you're feeling stranded
But you will fake your way through
The wreckage of one more useless day
Just one more day
Just one more useless day
Play the victim again
It keeps getting older
Your story is over
Your fairy tale's at the end
(Fairy tale's at the end)
Your fairy tale's at the end
(Fairy tale's at the end)
You're starting over, again
Your fairy tale's at the end
You want a chance to rewind
Or maybe change your one-track mind
But you're too afraid of changing
So you're locking yourself up
In that safe place
In that same old place
(In that same old place)
Play the victim again
It keeps getting older
Your story is over
Your fairy tale's at the end
(Fairy tale's at the end)
Your fairy tale's at the end
(Fairy tale's at the end)
You're starting over, again
Your fairy tale's at the end
Never thought you'd ever feel this way, again
Now, misery's your only friend
Everything you said but never really meant
Caught up to you in the end
Your fairy tale's at the end
(Fairy tale's at the end)
Your fairy tale's at the end
(Fairy tale's at the end)
You're starting over, again
Your fairy tale's at the end!
Your fairy tale!
Is at the end!
Your fairy tale
Is at the end!
The song "Fairy Tale" by Saint Asonia tells a story of someone who has been pretending in a relationship for a long time, but now that it's over they realize that everything they've said and done was fake. The first verse talks about how the game is over, and the person is now feeling stranded after their flight has landed. They're now facing the wreckage of one more useless day, and they're stuck in the same old place where they've always been. The second verse talks about how the person is too afraid of change and is locking themselves up in a safe place. They're playing the victim again, but their story is over.
The chorus repeats the line "Your fairy tale's at the end" multiple times. This line represents the idea that the person's lies and pretending have caught up with them, and their fairy tale relationship is now over. They want a chance to rewind and change their one-track mind, but it's too late, and misery is now their only friend. The song ends with the repetition of the line "Your fairy tale is at the end," emphasizing the finality of the end of the relationship.
Overall, the song paints a picture of a person who has been dishonest, pretending in their relationship for far too long. Now that it's over, they're forced to face reality and realize the consequences of their actions.

Now the game is over
The situation has come to its end
So do you remember
Do you recall
All the time you spent
The amount of time you spent
Saying things you never really meant?
Speaking falsehoods
It was all pretend
It was all make-believe
And it caught up to you in the end
Eventually, the truth was revealed
So your flight has landed
You have reached your destination
And you're feeling stranded
You feel abandoned
But you will fake your way through
You will pretend everything is fine
The wreckage of one more useless day
Another day of aimless existence
Just one more day
Only one more day to endure
Just one more useless day
Only one more day of pointlessness
Play the victim again
Assume the role of the victim again
It keeps getting older
It is becoming tiresome
Your story is over
Your fabricated tale has come to an end
Your fairy tale's at the end
Your fabricated tale has come to an end
(Fairy tale's at the end)
Reiterating that story-telling is over
You're starting over, again
You are beginning anew
You want a chance to rewind
You wish to undo events
Or maybe change your one-track mind
To alter your one-sided thinking
But you're too afraid of changing
You are too scared to make the necessary alterations
So you're locking yourself up
You are isolating yourself
In that safe place
In that secure haven
In that same old place
In that familiar zone
Never thought you'd ever feel this way, again
You would not expect to experience such emotions again
Now, misery's your only friend
Now suffering is accompanying you
Everything you said but never really meant
All the insincere things you stated
Caught up to you in the end
Eventually, it all caught up to you
Your fairy tale!
The story you constructed
Is at the end!
Has now come to an end
Your fairy tale
Your fabricated tale
Is at the end!
Has now come to an end

***** I don't want them to die. :c It's gonna kill me if Adam stops singing. I was so happy to see him join a new band and I'm sure a lot of his fans would be really disappointed to see him go.
