Salón Victoria Lyrics

The new song of salon Victoria
Nasty uncle hippie
Yo no voy a caer
En tus negros ojos
Yo no voy a cargar
Todos tus sueños rotos
Llévame pa tu casita camarada burguesita
Yo no quiero trabajar
Yo me muero en tu playita atascada burguesita
Yo no quiero trabajar.
Yo no voy a caer!
You better change
Your hippie ways
Hippie is defeated
Your love is dead
Hippie is defeated
Your peace is dead
Nasty! Uncle! Hippie!
The lyrics of Salon Victoria's song "Nasty Uncle Hippie" reflect a confrontation between two opposing lifestyles and worldviews: that of the hippie and the bourgeois. The singer explicitly states that they will not succumb to the temptations of the hippie lifestyle: they will not carry the burden of someone else's broken dreams, they will not be lured by a hedonistic lifestyle void of labor, and they will not fall for the charms of a hippie, whom they see as defeated, their love and peace dead.
The interpretation of the song can be seen as a commentary on the urban social tensions present in Mexico during the 1990s, where the bourgeois and the hippie counterculture clashed frequently. The song's lyrics reflect the rejection of a generation who had grown tired of the philosophical posturing of the hippie and their tendency towards apathy and escapism. It highlights the view of the bourgeois that the hippie's lifestyle is unsustainable and undermines the societal norms and values of the time.
In conclusion, "Nasty Uncle Hippie" is a criticism of the countercultural culture of the hippie movement, as seen through the lens of the bourgeois.
