The King And I
Miscellaneous
Song Of The King
KING

A woman is a female who is human,
Designed for pleasing man, the human male.
A human male is pleased by many women,
And all the rest you hear is fairy tale.

ANNA

Then tell me how this fairy tale began, sir.
You cannot call it just a poet's trick
Explain to me why many men are faithful
And true to one wife only.

KING

(Spoken) They are sick!
(Singing) A girl must be like a blossom
With honey for just one man.
A man must be like honey bee
And gather all he can.
To fly from blossom to blossom
A honey bee must be free,

But blossom must not ever fly
From bee to bee to bee.

Overall Meaning

The song King Night by Salem is not related to the Broadway musical The King and I, but rather talks about a dark and futuristic world that is ruled by kings and queens. The first verse describes an eerie atmosphere where the moon reigns supreme alongside a figure that is more powerful, the King. The second verse talks about a ghostly figure that can be felt, but not seen. The lyrics mention how the King is watching and waiting for something to happen, while his subjects live in fear.

The third verse describes how the King is a beacon of darkness, much like the moon that illuminates the world at night. In the context of the song, the King represents power, control and an authoritarian rule. The chorus of the song reflects on this dark world, with the singer questioning whether the atrocities are worth it.

Overall, the song King Night paints an apocalyptic picture of a world that is ruled by a dark and terrible ruler, where the people live in fear and darkness. The lyrics are poetic and profound, and the haunting melody makes the song all the more eerie.

It's definitely a great music video. If you know a bit about Salem, their twisted, darkly beautiful sound is influenced by some rough personal stuff. Cruising through the night with no home in sight, truck stop prostitutes, biker outlaws, gory accidents, and death are all appropriate themes.

This will blow up in like 15 years.

@yugen

lol. Unfortunately the music industry is sooooo saturated now, so many transcendent tracks will simply be forgotten except for by a few daring adventurers and explorers.

@unclemaggot

I'd say no, since the genre is pretty much dying rn

@violetmushroom6

Now this particular track but, the mainstream will some day see the light of this rawness
