The lyrics to Salim Merchant's song "Kajar Bina Kare" speak of the power and beauty of a woman's eyes. The singer addresses a woman, calling her "gori," meaning fair or beautiful, and admiring her naina, or eyes. He sings that her eyes are so mesmerizing that they are a sight to behold even without kajal, the traditional Indian eye makeup that accentuates the eyes. The singer continues on to describe how the eyes are filled with pain and sorrow, yet still maintain their beauty and allure. He questions why they have such a power over him and why they have left his heart wounded and broken. The repetitive refrain of "kajar bina kare" drives home the idea that even without kajal, the woman's eyes are still captivating in their raw beauty.
The use of language and imagery in the song creates a vivid picture of the woman's beauty and the singer's attraction to her. The use of the word "rasile" to describe the eyes adds a sensual and romantic element to the song. The juxtaposition of the beauty of the eyes with the pain and sorrow they hold creates a contrast that heightens the emotional impact of the lyrics. The repetition of the refrain serves as a reminder of the beauty of simplicity in a world that often values extravagance and excess.
