A la vuelta, en febrero de 2008, realizaron su segunda presentación en Makena, ya con temas nuevos. Con el correr de los meses siguieron ofreciendo shows, y cerraron el año sumando a Marcelo Scola en el saxo y Pili en teclados. Así surgió Salta La Banca.
En 2009 se presentaron en La Bohemia, el bar de Caballito, y por su gran repercusión, decidieron grabar su primer álbum, “Ya no somos dos ahora”, editado en Julio. A fin de año, se presentaron con Cecilia Grammatico en batería, Gonzalo Sosa en bajo, Maurito en vientos y Mariano Anselmi en segunda guitarra.
En 2010, Marcelo, Mariano y Cecilia se alejan de la formación y llega Julián Baranchuk a la batería. Así pudieron compartir escenario con Ciro y Los Persas, Las Pelotas, El Cuarteto de Nos y El Bordo.
En febrero de 2011 comenzaron a plasmar “Seremos”, que fue lanzado en mayo de ese año. Así, Salta La Banca queda formada por Santiago en voz, Alberto en guitarra y coros, Gonzalo en bajo, Santiago Maggi en teclados, Julián en batería, Mauro Ostinelli en saxo y Ramiro Maidana en armónica.
En pleno diciembre de 2012, el grupo lanza un EP de 6 canciones, titulado "Copla - Canto obligado por Luciano Arruga", dedicado al joven víctima de la desaparición forzada en plena democracia argentina. El material sólo puede adquirirse en forma gratuita a través del sitio web oficial de Salta La Banca.
