1) Sam Lewis is a singer songwriter based in Nashville. After spending a nomadic youth throughout the Southeast (USA), he began calling Nashville home in 2009. Since then he’s been joined on his journey by some of music’s most righteous and luminary figures. He has pressed the first few chapters in his career’s studio anthology with the release of his self-titled debut (2012), sophomore release "Waiting On You" (2015), third studio release "Loversity" (2018) and live-acoustic album "Solo" (2020).
Loversity and single first single, “One and The Same” landed Lewis a spot on Rolling Stone’s “10 New Artists to Watch” list. Although Americana is Lewis' staple sound, he comfortably moves between musical genres ranging from blues rock to soul.
2) Sam Lewis is a British singer, songwriter & guitarist.
After being taught to play the guitar at the age of 11 by his musical Father, Lewis’s big break came after meeting KT Tunstall in a Willsden Park, a meeting that led to him becoming her guitar player for her World tours 2004 - 2009. He has also performed with Tom Baxter, Duffy and Dani Sicilliano.
“Everything You Are”, Lewis’s debut was released in 2007, and includes “Another Lifetime” featuring KT Tunstall on vocals. The album received a 4 star review in Mojo, BBC online, Americana monthly and Q track of the day. Starting with a support slot for Legendry folk Guitarist Bert Jansch at the Roundhouse Sam played support slots and gigs over the year. Highlights include Harvest at Jimmy's festival and a half hour slot with Janice Long on
radio 2.

In My Dreams

Since you gave me your last kiss
It broke my heart to hear you say
My love you wouldn't miss
You thought that it was best we part
And that I wasn't worth your time
If you don't want me in your dreams
Then you stay out of mine
Some nights I get lucky
When my thoughts aren't fixed on you
But other times I wake up tired
And I don't know what to do
It's like a curse you put me
But I bet you're sleeping fine
If you don't want me in your dreams
Then you stay out of mine
If you don't want me in your dreams baby that's just fine
I don't know how I let you down I guess I was blind
I'll try my best not to think of you
So we can both make it through the night
But if you don't want me in your dreams
Then you stay out of mine
I woke up mad this morning
Once again I've been robbed
I dreamt of you while sleeping
Showed up late on the job
You looked so sweet looking back at me
But you never were that kind
If you don't want me in your dreams
Then you stay out of mine
The song "In My Dreams" by Sam Lewis talks about the deep pain of losing someone you love and the struggle to move on. The song's lyrics explain the story of a man who has been abandoned by the woman he loves, and he is now trapped in a cycle of sleepless nights and dreams of her which makes it hard for him to forget her. The lyrics are emotive, and it's easy to relate to the pain the singer feels as he tries to come to terms with the end of his relationship.
The first verse tells us that the singer has been struggling to get over the end of his relationship with the woman he loves, as he remembers the last kiss they shared before she called it quits. The lyrics reveal that he is hurt and disillusioned with her and casts blame on her for walking away. The chorus talks about how he is struggling to move on and how he is constantly haunted by thoughts of her, even though he knows he cannot force her to have the same feelings for him. The second verse talks about how the singer feels cursed by his love for her, as he struggles to keep his mind off her even though he knows it's not healthy for him. In the bridge, he tries to convince himself and her that it's best they move on and forget about each other. However, the pain of the memories of her continues to haunt him as he wakes up to another day still feeling hurt and betrayed.
Overall, the song communicates the message that healing after a broken heart is a process that requires letting go and eventually getting some much-needed closure. The singer's struggle with the end of the relationship is a relatable experience that many people go through in life, and this makes the song quite emotional and heartwarming.
