For The Lover That I Lost
Sam Smith Lyrics
Hmm
Think about your lips and the way they kiss
There's so much I really miss about you
Sitting on the beach, you were still in reach
And I haven't felt free without you
All of the memories feel like magic
All of the fighting seemed so sweet
All that we were, my love, was tragic
And you're the last thing that I need
So I lay a dozen roses for the lover that I've lost
I stand by all my choices, even though I paid the cost
Oh, all those nights, the lows and highs, I share them all with you
So I lay a dozen roses, I lay them there, I lay them there for you, mm
You've been on my mind, every single night
I can't visualize life without you
I've been tryna go a week without losing sleep
But there's something that I need to go through
All of the memories feel like magic
All of the fighting seemed so sweet
All that we were, my love, was tragic
And you're the last thing that I need
So I lay a dozen roses for the lover that I've lost
I stand by all my choices, even though I paid the cost
Oh, all those nights, the lows and highs, I share them all with you
So I lay a dozen roses, I lay them there, I lay them there for you, oh, oh
So I lay a dozen roses for the lover that I've lost
I stand by all my choices, even though I paid the cost
Oh, all those nights, lows and highs, I share them all with you
So I lay a dozen roses, I lay them there, I lay them there for you

For the lover that I've lost
I met you, August 2016. We've been talking for four months. Everyday we're teasing each other, supporting and helping each other about life/studies. You are that someone that pushes me to do things that I love and motivating me to continue moving forward. You are indeed an appreciative type of person. But sadly, December 22 the same year , I became cold to you and no longer replied to your messages because I've learned something about you and other girl. I decided to stop everything between us. Exactly Christmas Eve, you sent a greeting message and I replied but then that was the time I told you goodbye. After that day, I've realized that I deeply fell in love with you. I know it's been years but I'm still into you actually but you are no longer available, you're with someone else now. I miss the person who makes me smile everyday and motivates me everytime I wanted to give up with my dreams and such.
Until now I have lots of what ifs and maybes. What if I said yes at that time? What if I didn't care at that time about the people that surrounds us?What If I didn't mind about their comments about us?Maybe we became a couple. Months after I've cut our connection, some of my friends told me how good and amazing you are. Just this year, I told my mama about you and she asked me lots of whys. I know you will not be able to read this but until now I regret that I didn't took a risk just for you, for us. I love you still but I know you are already happy with her and maybe you already forgot everything about me.
To someone who is currently brokenhearted,
CHEERS TO THE LOVE THAT WE WILL NO LONGER HAVE 😭🥂WE NEED TO BE STRONG AND BE HAPPY FOR THEM. SENDING YOU A VIRTUAL HUGGGG 🤗💖
