And so how am I ever to know?
You always tell me
Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps
A million times I'd ask you
And then I'd ask you over again
You'd only answer
If you can't make your mind up
We'll never get started
And I don't wanna wind up
Being parted, broken hearted
So, if you really love me say yes
But if you don't, dear, confess
And please don't tell me
Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps
If you can't make your mind up
We'll never get started
And I don't wanna wind up
Being parted, broken hearted
So, if you really love me say yes
But if you don't, dear, confess
And please don't tell me
Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps
Please don't tell me
Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps
If you can't make your mind up
We'll never get started
And I don't wanna wind up
Being parted, broken hearted
If you can't make your mind up
We'll never get started
And I don't wanna wind up
Being parted, broken hearted [unverified]
The song "Perhaps" by Samantha Fox deals with the theme of uncertainty and indecisiveness in a romantic relationship. The lyrics tell the story of a woman whose lover is hesitant to admit his love for her. She expresses her frustration and confusion, asking him if he truly loves her or not. He responds with "perhaps, perhaps, perhaps," leaving her in a state of limbo. She pleads with him to make up his mind, stating that if he truly loves her, he should say yes, but if he doesn't, he should confess rather than giving her false hope.
The song's lyrics are straightforward and relatable, as many people have experienced uncertainty in their relationships. The repetition of the phrase "perhaps, perhaps, perhaps" creates a sense of frustration and helplessness, emphasizing the uncertainty of the situation. The song's upbeat tempo and catchy melody contrast with the sadness of the lyrics, making it a classic and popular song.
