Maybe Tomorrow
Samantha James Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Temptation moved me forwards, believing in the love that we found,
Dreams of what I was chasing, tried to pull me down,
Searching for your embrace, like they just never never found
I dreamt to see the sun through the pouring rain,
Longing to understand the truth that still remains
Giving us hope that love will survive,
Reaching for freedom in later days to come,
Maybe tomorrow, peace will be won
It takes time to recreate a life that you've been living so long,
Keep holding on to faith, knowing this is where you belong,
Dreams of what i was chasing, turn my life around,
Searching for your embrace, took me to where i am now
Maybe tomorrow, truth will arise,
Giving us hope that love will survive,
Reaching for freedom in later days to come,
Maybe tomorrow, peace will be won
Yeeeah, yeeeeah, yeah yeah yeah yeah
yeah, yeah
yeeeeah, yeeeeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
yeah, yeah
Maybe tomorrow, truth will arise,
Giving us hope that love will survive,
Reaching for freedom in later days to come,
Maybe tomorrow, peace will be won
The lyrics of "Maybe Tomorrow" by Samantha James speak about a past love that the singer is reminiscing about. She talks about how she dove into the love without looking back and how the dreams she was chasing tried to pull her down. She yearns for the embrace of the person she loved and how that embrace brought her to where she is now. The chorus speaks of the hope that the truth will arise and love will survive. The singer talks about how it takes time to recreate a life that you've been living for so long and how important it is to hold on to faith.
One way to interpret the song is that it speaks to the power of love and how it can overcome even the most difficult obstacles. The singer seems to be in a better place now because of this love, and she is hoping that the truth and peace will come soon. It is a song about hope and the belief that things can get better with time.
Another way to look at it is that it is a song about letting go of the past and finding hope in the future. The singer is acknowledging the things that held her back in the past, but she is also looking forward to a brighter future. She is holding on to the faith that love and peace will come and that she will find freedom in the later days to come.
Overall, "Maybe Tomorrow" is a song that speaks to the power of love and hope. It is a reminder that no matter how difficult things can seem, there is always hope for a better tomorrow.
