Former recurring town characters were neighbour Joop Mengelmoes ('Meneer van Vleermuizen' as Samson calls him), Miranda de Bolle ('Veranda' as Samson calls her), Sophie ('Meneer van Vleermuizen' as Samson calls her), Frieda Kroket, the representative of the Minister (of Internal Affairs). Or characters as Marlène, Bobientje, Jean-Louis-Michel, Fred Kroket, Marie without screen time.
In 2005 Danny Verbiest left Studio 100, the production house behind Samson & Gert, and was replaced by Peter Thyssen. He in his turn was followed Dirk Bosschaert in 2013.
Some famous phrases of these TV shows are
