Lo stile di Samuele Bersani diventa quindi immediatamente riconoscibile: i testi sono molto ricercati e a volte pieni di frasi apparentemente non-sense soprattutto per le canzoni più ritmate. Le vendite lo premiano anche nel 1995, grazie al singolo Freak, altro titolo prettamente estivo. Samule Bersani riesce però ad alternare questi successi ad altrettante canzoni meno commerciali e maggiormente d'impatto: Spaccacuore nel 1995 e la già citata Giudizi universali nel 1997, per molti una vera poesia musicata che si è aggiudicata il Premio Lunezia 1998 come miglior testo letterario.
Nel 2000 le canzoni del suo album L'oroscopo speciale e alcuni estratti musicali di canzoni di album precedenti sono state usate come colonna sonora del film Chiedimi se sono felice, scritto e interpretato dal trio comico Aldo, Giovanni e Giacomo e proprio per lo stesso film incide la canzone "Chiedimi se sono felice"; tra le partecipazioni cinematografiche anche il cartone animato La gabbianella e il gatto, nella cui colonna sonora è presente la canzone Siamo gatti, intepretata ma non scritta dal cantautore di Cattolica.
Inoltre ha collaborato con altri artisti, soprattutto grandi nomi femminili della musica italiana come Mina, Ornella Vanoni e Fiorella Mannoia, scrivendo canzoni o collaborando a loro album.
Nel 2003 pubblica Caramella smog, l' album con il quale nel 2004 ha vinto due premi Tenco, (migliore canzone con "Cattiva" e miglior disco dell'anno).
È del 2006 "Lo scrutatore non votante", ironica e feroce invettiva in tempo di elezioni, che anticipa l'uscita del nuovo cd L'aldi qua. A maggio pubblica il secondo singolo estratto, "Lascia stare" mentre a settembre esce il terzo singolo intitolato "Sicuro precariato".
