Sand in Fire is a five piece instrumental band from Scarborough, Maine. Formed in September of 2007, they have completed one self-titled album thus far and frequently play shows around the Southern Maine area. The band is currently on hiatus whilst certain members attend college in far away places and, though it is uncertain, the band will likely reconvene during the winter and summer breaks. Members include Tom Hamill (guitar), Willie Gianetta (bass), Max Erwin (drums), Paul Puiia (guitar), and J.T. Puiia (guitar).

Once me, my sis, and my mom went to an abandoned cranberry bog and did those m80 looking strobes (I forget what the are called, they could be sparklers) and put them in the sand and it made glass because of the heat which was super cool.

fireworks will work in sand or under water depends on the fuse you use... if you use the green saftey fuse that is a laquered fuse.. which means once you lite it its going to work no matter where it is.. the only way to stop it is to cut the fuse..

For anyone thinking about making their own or using these, please do your research extensively on how to do everything safely, like using paper materials (paper bowl, plastic spoons) to mix supplies to avoid static and what mixtures are impact sensitive and how to safely store supplies, and try to be responsible using such things, a good distance away from houses or people to not disturb anyone or not doing damage to property or people, these are what made them illegal to begin with and we don’t need them making supplies to make them illegal or harder to get for people that are responsible with them or have their license to do so. Also I wouldn’t tell anyone about it or sell to anyone or post about it and just enjoy them as far away from houses and people and obviously not doing damage to things if you want to enjoy them without getting in trouble. If you sell it will increase your chances of getting caught as word will spread and people could be irresponsible with them. Be safe & responsible, have fun & god bless.

You should do fireworks vs flour but you need will need to do it in an open and wet area and make sure you have a long fuse (half slow fuse so you can get back, and the other half super fast fuse or it won’t work)🙂🙂🙂 🧨💥🔥

when it has more concentrated gunpowder, if you have ever unwrapped a firecracker you would see that there's just a little box of gunpowder in the firecracker, it would be dynamite if it was filled to the brim with gunpowder

I think the s means sodium chloride or salt, if you put sodium in fire it changes the colour. So if they m80 is a different colour, I have a good reason for you!

you shouldnt use a red flare because if people see it they think you're in danger so you should use a different color of a flare because red basicly means like S.O.S. and its used for an emergency it should be used for that purpose only. use like a white flare because they have no meaning other than say starting or finishing a race or used in your purpose as a fire work.
