His remixing career has also recently caught the attention of pop-star Justin Timberlake, who has commissioned Sander to do club remix and production work on some of his more popular tracks and the song Rock Your Body.

Everytime I hear this track I get transported back to 1999. At the time I was a kid enthralled by drum and bass and techno and had a utter distain for what I thought of as trance. Thought of it as irredeemable cheesy low effort music (due to mainstream pop dance music being ATB and the like).
Underground music was hard to come by back then in Iceland (I remember being psyched to dial-up download Jeff Mills - The Bells at 8 kb/s on my mothers hideous iMac G3) so the main source to hear music was on the few radio shows going on (or the only record shop in town Þruman (e: Thunder Records):
Tækni and Skýjum Ofar (e: Technique and Above the clouds) for dnb,
Hugarástand(e: State of Mind) for techno/house.
It's hard to fully imagine the excitement of discovering music in such an environment with today's abundance and speed.
So when I heard My Lexicon for the first time I was intriqued and impressed by the clean sound at first and then absolutely mindblown by the shift at 4:48. When the luscious chords suddenly evolve and the bassline starts rolling was unlike anything I had heard before.
Getting a glimpse of that very precious feeling that circumstance, age, knowledge, expectations can create are crucial to reigniting my love of music every so often.
