So, this is a pretty powerful teaching tool, and I want to point something out I think is interesting about it: when I'm watching this, as an experienced driver, I'm seeing him do all the crazy things I've seen people do while driving cars, and I was freaking out well before the crash. Already, you see him not only speeding, but weaving around other cars as he moves faster than the flow of traffic, you see someone without a seatbelt reaching into the front seat, you see him handling his phone and messing around with it instead of the vehicular controls, you see someone in the back physically fighting with the driver over something which distracts him from the road. It creates tension at these critical moments where you, as the viewer who knows this is going to end in a car crash, are very well aware that a car could appear from these areas of low visibility.

Also really appreciate how the emergency responders behave in this, and feel like this could be a great teaching tool for them, because of how the people in the wreck are already freaking out and having them say things like "We're going to help you out of this situation", "we are handling this situation, just be patient", "You are okay, just keep your head forward", etc... That really helps in a situation like this when you need to keep the people in the car calm, and seeing that really helps.

I’ve just got home from a car reck, it wasn’t that bad. Here’s the story if your interested:

I was coming home from code camp and I was in an area where a lot of car crashes are experienced. I was waiting to get home while my mom was driving. It was time to stop and my mom stopped. Somebody was going about 50 miles per hour. They didn’t stop and crashed into us. We started spinning and I got the feeling where your like “this isn’t happening!” I was in a panic and started crying. I was okay and my mom was, despite getting surgery on Friday for her last car crash. We lost are glasses and my moms phone but I found 2 of them and my mom found her glasses. After a while, we got into the hospital car to see if my mom was okay. When we had time to, we waited for my moms friend to come. She drove me home and my babysitter was already in the house. I immediately ran to my room and went under my blanket for my tiny little chest pain to stop and get rested after all of that. And I felt like watching some related to what just happened. That’s how I got here.

Being in a car accident itself almost feels surreal. You get hit and automatically embraced death, until you somehow survived and its like your soul went back inside and you just couldnt processed what just happened. I looked down to see blood in my hands, heavily breathing the smoke, and looked around at the wreckage. but luckily neither of us were severely hurt. Days later i was physically fine, but Idk about you guys but for some reason I dont know how to feel about my experience, whether I should feel sad, grateful im alive, or guilty that the other person got hurt. Maybe its hust me, but i guess I was in such shock that I became numb to it over time. The worst part is not really about loosing the car or just getting hurt, but the fact that you almost got someone killed and having to carry the burden for the rest of your life. I just hope you guys stay safe on the roads. God bless

I'm an ER nurse at a level 2 Trauma center and some of the most gruesome and horrific MVAs/MCCs you would not believe barely have a pulse, or their skulls get crushed, or how every organ gets lacerated and whiplashed around from within your own body... it's really sad and awful, especially when those who are severely effected are not at all at fault. One time a patient was brought to us and we discovered their spleen had ended up squished under and to the side of her lung that had practically acted as a projectile through her diaphragm (no seatbelt). I had been in a car accident in early March 2012. My only injury that I had was broken left ankle. I was almost about to cried when I was hanging from the seatbelt. When I was out of the seatbelt. I was on the ceiling of the car just after a rolled over. I was looking around very calmly. I know something was wrong with my left ankle. I didn’t feel my ankle breaking during the accident. I’m a lot better after the accident right now. I still have little bit issues with that ankle. I still have the 2 scars on that ankle from the surgery. I was kind of tough back then. I didn’t screamed for the pain that I felt twice at the hospital. I think that I won’t go through it again.

I have actually been in an accident and I can tell you this is pretty realistic, obviously the crash itself was really bad but the part with the firefighters and medics was really realistic. They had to cut me out of the car with the jaws of life too. It's almost giving me flashbacks watching this, I'm so glad I was alone in the car because I really wouldn't want to see anyone I care about in a situation like that. The crash in this was really bad, actually experiencing a crash feels so surreal. You think it will never happen to you and then suddenly it does, and being in the driver seat trying to avoid the crash at all costs. You feel powerless, you just know you're about to crash. and then the crash happens really fast, you only really process it after it has happened.

@@al123_72 Thanks. I got lucky, I wasn't even wearing my seatbelt but it probably saved my life because the roof was crushed where my head would have otherwise been.

I still remember it pretty well, it doesn't feel like a year ago.

Just wanted to add that it took a little over half an hour before the medics and fire department showed up so I was stuck in the car during that time. And the police also showed up and made me take a breathalyser while I was laying in the ambulance (wtf?) I wasn't on anything if you were wondering, the accident happened because I swerved to avoid hitting a car that drove onto the road but should have given me right of way. When I dodged the car I hit the curb and there was a boulder there that launched my car and made it roll into the balcony of a house, then it fell on its side in their garden and I was stuck inside like that.

I survived a crash too. I was in the car with drunk driver and my drunk mom. Also i was in back seat with two my friends. My mom just started to dance her hands and the driver did so. Then, a russian truck "KAMAZ" showed up, and we crashed. You should blame both sides, because of the driver was drunk, and truck just didn't go in the roadside. My mom and one of my friends died, but i still survived somehow... First time, i was just laying in reanimation, with other kids.. Before that, i got my head stitched, but i don't remember that, i was without any mind. After reanimation, i went to my survived friend's room for like 15 minutes, and then i got transported to my dad's room, where i lived for a few months. As i remember, taxi to our city took 5 hours, but i really didn't remember that much time, maybe i was just dreaming, maybe i was tired of hospital. When i got home, my grandmas stayed in the room and waited for my arrival.

i was in a pretty bad car crash in 2018, had to be flown to a hospital and luckily i came out with only a lacerated spleen and a broken collarbone, and some whiplash/scars. my mom broke a lot of bones all over and my brother and dad only had whiplash. this is a pretty accurate representation, except it was in america haha, different side of the steering wheel/road.

I hopes this convinces at least some people to drive more safely, because actually experiencing a car crash is a thousand times worse. I know, since I’ve been flanked by a wannabe street racer and saw my friend‘s right leg get crushed into a deformed mess. He survived but his screams still haunt me in my dreams.

You really thought this felt real I mean the only reason it felt real was that it was real people and not animated I mean they cut out “the crash” and the first responder isn’t acting like a real first responder to a crash with someone through the windshield I mean having actually experience this isn’t very realistic.
