After five years of sporadic live concerts he decided to record his first album, Viva!, that surprised critics and audience in the year 2005 and that sounded repeatedly on the catalan TV series Porca Misèria. Two years later Temps i Rellotge appeared, where organic sounds gain relevance, and on a trip he culminated Al marge d'un camí (2010). Fresh everyday life stories, introspective but accessible, with the origin of the Catalan Empordà. The current band members are Carles Sanjosé (vocals and guitar), Miquel Sospedra (bass), Pep Mula (drums), Xarim Pomelo (guitars) and Richie Álvarez (keyboards), and they're who recorded the album "La viu-viu: Sanjosex en concert" that was released last fall, 2012.

Sanjosex, àlies de Carles Sanjosé (la Bisbal d'Empordà, 1977), és un músic català.
Actualment, la seva banda la completen Pep Mula (bateria), Miquel Sospedra (baix), Richie Álvarez (piano) i Sisu Coromina (saxo).

Sanjosex ha publicat els discos Viva! (Bankrobber, 2005), Temps i rellotge (Bankrobber, 2007) i Al marge d'un camí (Bankrobber, 2010). Diverses cançons d'aquests discos han aparegut a la sèrie de TV3 Porca Misèria: Fem l'amor, Temps o rellotge, Puta revolution i Mixolídia blues. També va interpretar la banda sonora de l'última temporada de Ventdelplà.
El grup ha actuat en festivals com Primavera Club, BAM, MMVV, popArb, Senglar Rock i Altaveu.

Sanjosex lliura el seu esperat tercer disc, un d'aquests que fan olor de clàssic, condemnat a acompanyar-nos durant un bon grapat d'anys. Amb producció de Ricky Falkner, el disc representa la consolidació del músic empordanès entre els grans noms de la Cançó.

Per prendre perspectiva fa falta allunyar-se de el camí i guanyar distància. Des del marge, Carles Sanjosé es mira en el mirall per redescobrir qui és i d'on ve. O millor: qui som i d'on venim. I ens convida a capbussar-nos molt més allà de la quotidianitat que suggereixen les lletres.

Carles Sanjosé fa neteja a fons: mentre lleva la pols i escombra la casa, aparta també les molèsties i apunta cap a les essències profundes. A la música pop en el sentit estricte de la paraula: la que tots portem escrita en l'ADN, siguem conscients o no. Perquè aquest disc beu de fonts tel·lúriques però alhora està fermament arrelat en l'actualitat. Sense renunciar a una personalitat ni a un so, Sanjosex cerca i troba una música amb vocació de cordó umbilical d'una terra i de molts segles.

Cal recordar l'excel·lent acolliment que van tenir els anteriors discos de Sanjosex. “Temps i rellotge” (2007) va ser destacat entre els millors discos de l'any per El Periódico, Avui, Rockdelux, Enderrock, Mondo Sonoro i Benzina. A més, Sanjosex és assidu dels principals festivals barcelonins (*BAM, Primavera, Altaveu, MMVV, popArb...) i manté una forta presència en la televisió catalana gràcies a sèries com “Porca misèria” o “Ventdelplà”.
