But a black cat crossed my trail.
No I ain't superstitious,
But a black cat crossed my trail.
Bad luck ain't got me so far,
And I won't let it stop me now, no no
The dogs begin to bark,
And that ain't all.
Dogs begin to bark,
All over my neighborhood.
Mmm-mmm
This is a mean old world to live in,
And I can't face it all by myself, at all.
Oh yeah
Well, yes I will
And, dogs begin to bark,
All over my neighborhood, yeah yeah
Well, the dogs begin to bark,
All over my neighborhood.
I got a feelin' about the future,
And no it ain't too good, I know that.
I know, I know, I know.
Well I ain't superstitious,
But black cat crossed my trail,
I know I ain't superstitious,
A black cat crossed my trail.
Bad luck ain't got me too far,
I ain't gonna let it stop me now.
Oh no, no no
This can't be good, oh no
Ooh, ooh no no
Alright, alright, alright
Yeah, yeah, yeah
The song "I Ain't Superstitious" by Santana featuring Gavin Rossdale is about the singer's refusal to believe in superstitions despite experiencing bad omens. The first verse talks about a black cat crossing the singer's trail, which is widely considered a sign of bad luck. The singer acknowledges the superstition but asserts that it hasn't affected them so far, and they won't let it stop them now.
The second verse describes dogs barking all over the neighborhood, which is also considered a bad omen. The singer acknowledges that the world is a tough place to live in, but they refuse to face it alone. The refrain repeats the first verse, emphasizing the singer's determination to defy bad luck and succeed in their pursuits.
Overall, the song is about the power of positive thinking and determination in the face of adversity. The singer refuses to let superstitions and bad omens hold them back and is determined to overcome any obstacles in their way.

I just watched a movie titled, "The Last Stand" with Arnold Schwarzenegger and other fine actors. This song came on near the end credits, and I said to myself that's, "Jonny Lang". I came downstairs to see if YouTube had info on this and found out I was right...... Jonny is an Amazing and one of a kind musician. Love his playing and voice, there's no mistaking his style, that's for sure! Love Jonny for his talent... forever!
