25/1940),se gradua con excelentes calificaciones del Centro de Bellas Artes,voz profesional de la
radioemisora La Voz Dominicana,se recoliza en la ciudad de New York(1963),donde llega su
opurtunidad de conocer y grabar con el legendario Arsenio Rodriguez y su Conjunto
(1964/1966).Invitado especial como corista/cantante para la Orquesta de Mr. Pete “Conde “
Rodriguez.Luego en colaboración con Tony Pabon y La Protesta graba su LP titulado “ Salsa y
Pimienta.“.
En 1976/1980 firma contrato con el sello Fania como cantante y corista,guiro y maracas
acompaña la orquesta de Hector Lavoe y Adalberto Santiago.
Inicia su carrera como solista,firmando con el sello Mary Lou Records,donde grabaria varios
LPS que llevarian su nombre al exito internacional: “ Abriendo Puertas “ “Navegando con
Sabor” “Canta Si Va A Cantar”, bajo la dirección musical de Mr. Luis Perico Ortiz y un grupo
fenomenal de musicos:
Luis Mangual (Bongo),Eddie Montalvo(Conga),Charlie Rodriguez (Tres),Eric
Figueroa(Piano),Eddie ‘Guagua” Rivera(Bajo),Cachete Maldonado,composiciones del señor
Ramon Rodriguez,Loui Ramirez en los arreglos,Tito Nieves,Isidro Infante,Sonny Bravo,Marty
Sheller.
Para Sabroso Records,con el director Ramon Rodriguez,Ramon Orlando Valoy en el piano,graba
su LP Siempre Duro.
En 1989 con el sello Combo Records graba sus LP “La Vecina” “A Mi Manera”.
“Desde Santiago de Cali” con Discos Fuentes 1990s.
Bajo el sello Leomar Racing Productions en 1994 “Mi Campeon Jukin”,donde rinde un sentido
pero muy doloroso tributo a su fallecido hijo Eddy, y en 1995 ‘Homenaje Al Gallero
Palmasola”,con el director musical y piano de Roberto Navarro,Yomo Toro (cuatro),Raymond
Castro y Milton Cardona en los coros.Bomberito Zarzuela en la trompeta.En 1999 con el sello
Exclusivo Records “Las Cuarenta” y luego “Que Murmuren”.
El 2005 su propia produccion “El Alacran”,con la participación : Luis Mangual(Bongo),Chino
Bolanos(Conga),Jose Mangual y Hector Casanova en los Coros,Junior Vega (Trompeta),Sony
Ovalle (Piano),Marco Gonzalez(Bajo),Jorge Acevedo (Piano),Cris Croswor(Trombon),y Hector
“Canita” Infante.
El 2009 Santiago Cerón,llamado el Sonero de Las Antillas,Mr. Cool,Santy,Chago Cerón,con su
melodica voz y pasión por nuestro ritmo antillano Son Montuno y Los Boleros,sigue tan
vigente,nos trae su mas reciente producción titulada “”CERON”” bajo el sello ERB Records y
la Producción y Dirección Musical del Sr. Hector “Cañita” Infante,arreglos musicales del
Premio Grammy Latino Sr. Roberto Navarro y Sr. Ramon Chiripa Aracena.
