1. Sarah (Denmark) Sarah Skaalum Jørgensen (Born July 6th, 1995), better known as Sarah, rose to fame after winning the fourth season of X Factor in Denmark. She started singing early, appearing in musicals and joined a musical band when she was 12. She plays guitar, piano, bass and drums and also loves to draw and paint. She is out and openly lesbian.

Not With You

I'm on a flight
Wish you were sitting next to me
Another goodbye
I try not to cry
Always somewhere that you can't be
The short ones too
How when it comes to everything
It's easier with you
The city lights are beautiful
But you're not here to tell that to
The roads all look the same
But feel so different driving without you
I'm back where I came from
So why does everything feel new?
I guess home isn't really home
If it's not with you
Thinking of when
I'll see you again
Little bit empty with you far away
Why can't you be
Close by to me?
Then I wouldn't have to call you to say
That the city lights are beautiful
But you're not here to tell that to
The roads all look the same
But feel so different driving without you
I'm back where I came from
So why does everything feel new?
I guess home isn't really home
If it's not with you
The city lights are beautiful
The roads all look the same
I'm back to what I know
So why does everything feel new?
I guess home isn't really home
If it's not with you
The song "Not With You" by Sarah is a heartfelt piece that expresses the lamentations of a lover who is separated from their partner. The song lyrics paint a picture of a lonely Saturday night where the singer is on a flight and wishes their lover was sitting next to them. The singer tries to hold back tears. This is because they have had to say goodbye to their lover yet again and they find themselves in a place their lover cannot be.
The singer reminisces about the long and short drives they've taken together and how everything seems to be easier with their lover by their side. The beautiful city lights that used to be amazing to them have become dull and lifeless without their lover around to share that moment. The roads that used to be so familiar feel different when driving alone. The singer is back where they came from, but everything feels new because home isn't really home without their lover.
This song is a relatable expression of the pain of long-distance relationships. It shows the yearning for that special person who is far away, and the feeling of not being complete without them. It embodies the feeling of emptiness that comes with being physically separated from someone you deeply care about.
