1. Sarah (Denmark) Sarah Skaalum Jørgensen (Born July 6th, 1995), better known as Sarah, rose to fame after winning the fourth season of X Factor in Denmark. She started singing early, appearing in musicals and joined a musical band when she was 12. She plays guitar, piano, bass and drums and also loves to draw and paint. She is out and openly lesbian.
She gained worldwide attention mainly because of her being open about her lesbian sexuality at such a young age of 15. Shortly after her winning the competition the worldâs biggest LGBT media congratulated her while mentioning her victory as the first lesbian to win any version of the X Factor in the world. But in the Danish media it has often be discussed that people shouldnât focus on her sexuality but on her singing skills.

Hoping for a chance to see
You above everyone
To rescue me from this heat
I'm waiting for night to fall
And it's been days
Are you sorry yet
When the flag was halfway down
Just look at me now
Oooh- It's like a breeze blowing deep beneath my skin
Oooh- Won't you help me out of the state I'm in
There's nothing ther to lean upon
I walk into a photograph
The waiter took so well
Oooh- If I could only lauhg
Like that girl at some hotel
I call out to anyone
But not too loud
I'm not ready yet
To share the phone or the tv set
It's a long, long way to come
Out of this one
Oooh- It's like a breeze blowing deep beneath my skin
Oooh- Won't you help me out of the state I'm in
What I'd give for a minute more
And now it seems so fatal
The last stone we left uncradled
And I ask you
Are you sorry yet
Are you sorry yet
'Cause I may never come
Out of this one
Sarah's song "The State I'm In" is a poignant track that talks about the aftermath of a break-up. In the song, the singer is struggling to come to terms with her emotions, and her sense of loss is palpable. The song opens with her desperation to see her lover, hoping he would "rescue [her] from this heat." She's waiting for the night to fall, which implies the passage of time and her hopelessness of getting back together. The chorus, with its desperate plea - "Oooh- Won't you help me out of the state I'm in" emphasizes the singer's overwhelming sense of loneliness and desire for healing.
The second verse of the song talks about the memories that keep haunting the singer. A photograph taken by a waiter is a gentle reminder of how carefree and happy she once was, and how far she's come since then. Despite her attempts to reach out to anyone, she's careful not to disturb her solitude, which highlights her inability to open up and trust others. The final verse tracks her emotional trajectory, from the initial sense of loss and despair to the eventual realization of the finality of the break-up. The singer knows that coming out of this emotional state won't be easy, and the song's melancholic undertone reinforces this.
