What I Need

And you don’t have to make a sunrise fall
There’s been too much to give some explanation
It’s just another day, another mind, another soul
With a little bit love
A little bit tenderness
A little bit love
Can you give what I need
Can you die at my feet
Can you look in my eyes
By the truth in your lies
Can you give what I need
Can you die at my feet
Can you look in my eyes
‘Cause there ain’t no truth in your lies
It ain’t no use to get your confirmation
About things that you pretend to do
We’re stuck in such a crazy situation
Tell me what’s left between me and you
With a little bit love
A little bit tenderness
A little bit love
We can make things right
Can you give what I need
Can you die at my feet
Can you look in my eyes
By the truth in your lies
Can you give what I need
Can you die at my feet
Can you look in my eyes
‘Cause there ain’t no truth in your lies
Some may say
That our love has flown miles and miles away
There’s no use to try
There’s no reason to cry
‘Cause I won’t lose my pride
Can you give what I need
Die at my feet
By the truth in your lies
Can you give what I need
‘Cause there ain’t no truth in your lies
Can you give what I need
‘Cause there ain’t no truth in your lies

The lyrics of Sarah's song "What I Need" speaks about the deteriorating state of a relationship and the need for honesty, love, and tenderness to make things right. Sarah starts by saying that she doesn't need a long-winded conversation or any grand gestures to salvage their relationship. At this point, she desires the essential things; honesty, love, and tenderness.
She then goes on to say that their relationship has suffered too much, and there's no need for too much explanation. Sarah further emphasizes that she wants him to be real with her, and if he can give her the fundamental things she needs to make things right, then they may still have a chance at saving their relationship. Throughout the song, Sarah repeats the lines, "Can you give what I need, Can you die at my feet, Can you look in my eyes By the truth in your lies." These lines are a cry for honesty and sincerity, a way to gauge the man's true intentions.
In conclusion, the song speaks of the importance of love, honesty, and tenderness in a relationship. Sarah makes it clear that while grand gestures are always appreciated, it's the fundamental things that matter in the end.
