See I'm out with my girls, I'ma have a good time
Step back with your chit-chat, killin' my vibe
See, I can't get too much of a good thing
S'why me a dressed up in the finest things
Well, please hold your tongue, oh, don't say a damn thing
See your iPhone camera flashin'
""You here for long?"" Oh no, I'm just passin'
""Do you wanna drink?"" No, thanks for askin'
Ooh, na na yeah
Don't act like you know me, like you know me, na na yeah

In "You Don't Know Me," Sarah Wolfe delivers a message about the importance of personal space and individuality. The opening lines, "Time is money, so don't fuck with mine," signify that she values her time and is not interested in small talk or chit-chat that brings negative energy into her life. She wants to have a good time with her girls without anyone cramping her style. The use of the phrase "killin' my vibe" emphasizes the idea of not letting others bring her down.
Wolfe's second verse highlights her focus on financial success and the importance of achieving her goals. She states that "money looks better when I see it all stacked up," and she can't get too much of a good thing. She values hard work and is driven to succeed in life. The repetition of the phrase "you don't know me" throughout the song emphasizes her desire for space and individuality. The use of profanity adds a sense of strength and finality to her message.
Overall, "You Don't Know Me" is an empowering song about setting boundaries and protecting oneself from negative energy. Wolfe's message encourages listeners to prioritize their time, stay focused on their goals, and be unapologetically themselves.

To my shame I only stumbled across you yesterday. As a 52 year old man I have always loved songs that were 'unfashionable' with my friends when grew up. I always felt these lesser-known soul songs and others from the 50's and 60's were MY songs... no one else i knew had even heard of them.
Then I discover SC and she is singing all MY songs, beautifully.
The ease with which you sing and the clarity and annunciation in your songs delivers enexpected reactions; goosebumps, smiles, tears.
Thank you for sharing your gift. You clearly bring joy to so many. Just a shame more people are not aware of you. Perfection!

This song brings tears to my eyes. Sorry to be a misery, but I was once in an abusive relationship, and I couldn't go anywhere, do anything, wear what I wanted to. But this song says it all. I'm well shot of him now. But I was so stupid to stay as long as I did. Songs sometimes just hit you, and put in all the words you can't find.
