I walk towards the clearing
I a silvery burst, I see it
The moon
It wears the veils of
Eternity
Its halo embrace
The song La Lune by Sarah Brightman is an artistic interpretation of the beauty and splendor of the moon. The opening phrase, "Under the clouds of the night, I walk towards the clearing," sets the scene of an individual on a night-time journey towards a destination. The clearing represents a significant moment of discovery and realization about the world that surrounds them. The person is in awe and amazement as they witness the beauty of the moon, which they describe as a silvery burst. The word burst suggests that the person is seeing the moon in all its glory and power, a sudden and unexpected vision that takes their breath away.
The second stanza of La Lune shifts to a transcendent exploration of the moon's symbolism. The line, "It wears the veils of eternity," suggests that the moon's presence is eternal, and its power and beauty have been celebrated across generations. The halo embracing the stars signifies the moon's impact on the universe and how it affects everything around it. Finally, the person describes the moon as their own, "my moon," suggesting a personal connection to this celestial body. Overall, the lyrics of La Lune by Sarah Brightman offer a romanticized, otherworldly view of the moon, emphasizing its beauty and timeless symbolism.
