Ang aking damdamin
Dahil siya ang gusto mo
Kaya nasasaktan
Di ko maramdaman
Na kailangan mo ako
Kitang kitang iba ang gusto niya
Heto naman ako naghihintay lang sayo
Lumingon ka lang (lumingon ka lang)
Nandito ako lagi sa tabi mo
Lumingon ka lang (lumingon ka lang)
Nandito ako umiibig sayo
Hindi na alam ang gagawin ko
Ako'y natatakot sabihin sayo
Lumingon ka lang (lumingon ka lang)
Di mo nakikita
Di mo naririnig
Manhid ka bang talaga
Kaya nagdaramdam
Lahat sila'y alam
The song "Lumingon Ka Lang" by Sarah Geronimo portrays the feeling of unrequited love. The singer of the song is in love with someone who does not reciprocate the same feelings. The first verse talks about how the person she loves does not notice her feelings towards him, and he hurts her because he only loves someone else. Meanwhile, the singer is unable to move on because she still loves him and cannot help but stay around.
The chorus is a desperate plea for the person she loves to "look back" and see that she is always beside him, loving him. She expresses the fear of telling him her true feelings, but at the same time, she cannot hide her feelings anymore. The second verse talks about how even if she tries to hide her feelings, it's evident in the way she looks at him. She is willing to wait for him and hopes that one day he will eventually notice her love for him.
Overall, "Lumingon Ka Lang" conveys the pangs of unrequited love and how the person in love is willing to stick around despite the pain to wait for a chance to win the heart of their crush.
